Valentines day...

What's funny is that people need a holiday to celebrate love and relationships, and two (depending on your culture/religion) to celebrate family togetherness.

As soon as my mom stopped making me bring in those stupid valentines, I never "celebrated" such a pointless holiday again. Okay, I do like that Target sell Fave Red Jellybeans around Valentine's Day.

The only holidays that matter (to me) are Easter (now that I know Target sells Starburst Jellybeans in excess and in multiple flavors around Easter), Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Pretty much have to agree with this.

The holiday has always seemed redundant and pointless. Really, the most it does is make some single people feel WORSE. I really shouldn't be one to talk, this sort of thing has never mattered to me, but that's just my two cents on the matter.

I love Valentine's Day, whether I'm single or not. Despite me believing in if you love someone, you should be showing them everyday, instead of forcing yourself to do something big once a year, I still think it's a lovely holiday.

Especially because I love red. And chocolate. And huge stuffed teddy bears, as well as seeing couples enjoy themselves.

Plus, sometimes this holiday makes people inclined to tell their loved one how they feel, if things haven't been said yet. So I like the drive of this time of year too. It's really something special and nice.

And despite all of this, I am attending an anti-Valentine's Day party this year, just because my friend is throwing one and I'd love to hang with them after school.

I have no idea if I'm going to do something for the person I like yet. We joke every day about being each other's girlfriend, but I don't know where I'll take that.

I'm going to be celebrating my birthday on Valentines, since I was born on Valentines.

 that's both a curse and a blessing

If you ever get a squeeze consider birthday sex as obligatory

Just another normal day for me anyhow. My ex-boyfriend broke up with me just before Valentines.

=0 Jesus Mary and Joseph, that timing is horrible

probably my words of comfort would do any good or really any since it's still kind of fresh

but people still love you so stay frosty

I like the concept of holidays no matter what holiday it is because it give you an excuse to deviate from responsibly or forget about it.

you can skip work, not come to school, come to school but act retarded etc...

I like valentines day because even though you say you should treat em special everyday having a day to really make it memorable just raises the standards like you don't even know.

sure it's a corporate holiday for nestle to make bank, but it's also a day wear people can propose, write sky messages in the air, go to a baseball game and come up on the mega screen for kissinator moments.  Since its driven into our head that the day is special whether you like it or not deep down in the inside a proposal on that day might feel more special to you than if you just did it on a mundane Monday.

when you feel amorous you do stupid things so its totally the best time to jump into the school pool with a tuxedo on to ask someone to prom, while your friends serenade livin on a prayer in the background.

baaaaaad ass mutha F dog

Used it as an excuse to ask a girl I'm interested in to dinner, as I've done multiple times when it comes to this holiday. In that regard, the holiday is perfect.

Those who hate the holiday tend to have never partaken in it, don't blame the world for your insecurities.
