Blake
Because after seeing the comparison that this is the searcher version of Premature Burial, I felt it was right on target.

Not-so-Radiant Arin
I will remain ignorant because I don't play at all anymore, but people have been saying to ban this, so I'll bandwagon and say that, too.
Sora1499
Finally, we have a topic for this. Now all the poor Beast-Warriors can rest at ease. OT: 3 is way too much. I'd be ok with it at 1.
Agro
It's like ROTA, except with more issues.
evilfusion
I suppose the problem stems from the "RoTA" thing. Beast-Warriors, while nowhere near as diverse and synergetic as Warriors, have gained quite a lot of support, and coupled with the Fire Fists being able to search the card or apply good effects by having it on the Field make it stronger than it really should be. Being able to search almost any monster of an entire TYPE is OPed. Most searching is restricted to archetype-specific cards or monsters. This both searches and can be searched for by Fire Fists, plus act as fuel for the Fire Fists, and since some of them get their effects by dealing damage or destroying monsters...there's quite a bit of synergy with their Fueled effects and their searching effects. And if you run key Beast Warriors of Level 4 or lower in Decks, this becomes more splashable than it should be while giving those monsters +100 ATK. It doesn't look terrible on paper. It's just the things you can do with it.
Lonk
It can remain @3 until March 2014.
newhat
This and Bear form a 6-card monster removal engine. Throw in Wolfberk for 1-card Ranks of 4.
Airride
RotA That boots, and is searchable. But, It can be negated with MST/Dust Tornado. ... @1.

Kingdom Xathers
JUST SAYINGUnless I'm wrong.I might be. No, you're right (activating MST in response to this causes Tenki to miss the timing). She's just telling you to not make the commonly-made "arguments". Cute Rotten Yoshika
being counterable is never an argument for a card being higher on the list. because it turns "cards should be balanced and well-designed" into 'just run solemn/bribe/etc"
Sora1499
You're not wrong ruling-wise, but counter ability is a shaky argument at best.[quote name="Kingdom Xathers" post="6143327" timestamp="1360813932"]No, you're right. Airride
So being counterable by things that are good against them anyway (To my understanding) is a bad argument? well ok then
Blake
Let me elaborate on the comparison in the OP. Anything that can stop this card can stop Premature Burial. In fact, Premature Burial has potentially MORE cards to kill it, in exchange, this loses to Thunder King. The card can search many powerful monsters, albeit far fewer than RotA, is reusable in multiple ways, and can be splashed in a LOT of places. So, why is Tenki v RotA not seen similarly to Premature Burial v Reborn? It's a similar situation, where one has more range while the other has more reusability and each use is almost as, if not just as, potent as each of the other. Kingdom Xathers
So being counterable by things that are good against them anyway (To my understanding) is a bad argument? well ok then Well, think about it this way: You're wasting a "Pop" to prevent 1 search (and possibly prevent a 100 ATK Boost from happening, if that is one's goal), not having the foresight to consider that your opponent has other cards to make up for the temporary loss of advantage. Correct me if I'm wrong, guys.
Airride
Feh, I suppose, but I still think it isn't *Thant* foreign to negate it with something. Then again, I still have no freaking clue how the things work, so, there's that.
Canadian
I guess you could call 3 Bear + 3 Tenki a Fire Engine.

newhat
Batel is absolutely balanced. Summoning it is punishable by basically every Deck. Power is more or less balanced. Judgment, eh...
Agro
I don't have a problem with most of the cards in that deck. I have a problem with all of them put together.
Strider Tigerwolf
Tenki is sadly at the right place at the right time ALL the time. It SHOULD be @1, @2 I guess it's passable but it's still questionably strong and @3 it's just a no no. Wont get hit for a while though...
