Blake Posted February 16, 2013 Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 PRELIMINARY PHONE LINE RULINGS Tatakawa Knight - This card can activate its effect if the Spell/Trap Card is destroyed as well as being negated. - You can activate this card after a Counter Trap resolves its effect of negating a Spell/Trap. - This card can be activated during the Damage Step. Burning Knuckler Spar - You can Special Summon this card by its own effect during your Main Phase 2 if you've conducted your Battle Phase. Burning Knuckler Counterblow - This card's effect can be negated by Debunk. Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon - You cannot detach Xyz Material from this card and then attack willy nilly twice. I believe you need to have negated an effect and gained 1000 ATK to allow the double attack. Chaos Xyz: Dark Fairy Cheer Girl - If you detach "Fairy Cheer Girl" for this card's effect to inflict effect damage, the damage is dealt. Burning Knuckler Leadblow the Bound Barbarian - If you send Burning Knuckler Glassjaw to the Graveyard by this card's effect, you can activate its recovery/salvage effect. - If a Burning Knuckler would be destroyed during the Damage Step by a card effect, you can activate this card's effect. Number C105: Burning Knuckler Caestus the Comet - Its Xyz Material burn effect is based on the field. - If Xyz Material burn effect destroys a Set monster, no damage is inflicted. - If you detach "Number 105: Cestus the Meteor" for this card's effect to inflict effect damage, the damage is dealt. Harpie's Pet Mirage Dragon - Your opponent cannot attack you directly if you only control Harpies (including this card) - If this card has no Xyz Material and your opponent controls no monsters, this card can attack directly. Rank-Up-Magic - Varian's Force - The resolving of taking Xyz Materials is immediately after resolving the Special Summon, so if you do that, "Bottomless Trap Hole" can't be used. - If you do not activate its Xyz taking effect, the summon is not negated by "Black Horn of Heaven". Hysteric Sign - This card's effect at the End Phase forms a Chain Block. - If this card is destroyed by Mystical Space Typhoon in change to its activation, if you do not apply the effect of adding "Elegant Egotist" to your hand, you still don't get to use the End Phase effect because you activated the first effect. - If this card is sent to the Graveyard during the turn you activate its first effect, you cannot trigger the End Phase effect. Ocean Ablaze - If you have a Level 7 or higher WATER monster and a Level 7 or higher FIRE monster, you can use both effects. - A monster of the correct Attribute and Level is not on the field at resolution, the effect fizzles. - It is unknown if you can negate this card with Stardust Dragon if a WATER monster is on the field. Gogogo Gigas - This card's effect can be activated during the Damage Step. - This card's effect cannot be activated during the turn you conduct your Battle Phase. Burning Knuckler Glassjaw - Both of this card's effects are trigger effect. - If this card is destroyed by its first effect, a monster can attack a different target or attack directly. - Its second effect targets - You can activate its second effect during the Damage Step - Its self-destruction effect does not form a Chain Link. Mermail Abyssoce - Its effect that sends it to the Graveyard is another sequence of resolution that occurs after the Special Summon. - If the target is not on the field at resolution, you do not get to Special Summon. Fortune of Prophecy - If this card is Special Summoned by a monster like The Creator that had its Type changed by DNA Surgery, you can activate its effect. - Its effect targets. Aether Knight - if an opponent's monster is returned to the hand during Damage Calculation by a card like "Begone, Knave!" when this card is destroyed by battle, you can activate this card's effect. Seiryuu Tempest - If you try to Special Summon this card from the hand, and it is sent to the Graveyard as a result of a chain, you do not get to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. - If you've already used an effect of "Seiryuu Tempest" the turn it would return to the hand, you do not activate the effect that returns it to the hand during the opponent's End Phase. - You must state when you show Seiryuu Tempest that you'll be Special Summoning it or using its effect. Chouseishi Risebelt - Its effect can be activated during the Damage Step. Green Duston - Its "Can't be Tributed" effect is a Continuous Effect. The Fusion/Synchro/Xyz Restriction is not effect text. Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon - The activation of its effect at the start of the Battle Phase is an Ignition Effect and forms a Chain Link, however the remaining effects are connected to that effect, but do not form Chain Links. - Its effect negation does not negate effects that activate when they're sent to the Graveyard. - If "Yami" on the field and a Fiend-Type monster is on the field and its ATK is set to an original of 2000, the ATK remains 2000 despite Yami, and remains 2000 even if Yami is destroyed. Reichoujyuu Sylphine - This card gains ATK when its effect resolves. Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Cardinal - Its effect targets. - When one of the targets on the field leaves the field before resolution, the remaining target is returned. - When returning Fire Fists/Fire Formaions from your field or graveyard, it can be from only the field, only the Graveyard, or a combination of both. - When returning opponent targets, it can be from only the field, only the Graveyard, or a combination of both. Gagagawind - You cannot Special Summon Level 4 "Gagaga" monsters from your hand. Spellbook no Shinpan - This card forms a Chain Link. Abyss-scale of Mizuchi - The negation does not form a Chain Link. Summon Breaker - This card counts monsters Special Summoned from one player to the other player's field, such as Bone Temple Block. - It is unknown how this card interacts if you Special Summon via "Advanced Heraldry Arts" after the second summon, and when the End Phase occurs as a result of the Interaction. Rulings: Mimimic - If this card's Special Summon by its effect is negated by Solemn Judgment or the like, you can Special Summon another "Mimimic" by its effect. Dotedotengu - If this card is sent to the Graveyard during the Damage Step, you can activate its effect. Shin Atlantean Tridon - If "Poseidra, the Sea Dragon" is Special Summoned by this card's effect, Bottomless Trap Hole misses the timing due to the effect that reduces ATK. No, this does not belong in the rulings thread, as it's just to make rulings for new cards public knowledge. It's more or less stating that it's not an inherent Xyz Summon, whether you resolve the Xyz Material effect or not. The Summon from B/Varian's Force cannot be negated directly (just like Monster Reborn). You would have to negate Varian's Force being activated.
