Penguin Soldier, why is this not seen more?!

Recommended Posts

Penguin is just too slow...And the only reason I even sided it in my Side Board for Locals was because I had nothing else at the time...

It's just one of those card's that's good...but lacks play because of its speed/stats. If it was maybe  0 ATK and 1900 DEF, then it would be a rather decent counterpart to Snowman Eater.

yeah that would help a lot, I mean Snow is basicly Man-Eater Bug (just realised that it may be a pun on M-EB :o) without the FLIP effect, Konami it's about to make a Snow Penguin or something like that :D

Also, I think Mole will fall in Photon Dragon's effect.

Did I miss the part where Galaxy-Eyes was mentioned, even vaguely? That seems quite unlike me.

Penguin Soldier's flaw is it's a Flip Effect monster with almost no stats whatsoever. It's a Level 2 with a meager 750/500. It will die if it's attacked, and its Level is not very good for Xyz Summons. Being a Flip means it must be Set to apply.

Snowman Eater is Level 3, making it more useful for things like Leviair, Zenmaines, etc, and it has 1900 DEF, allowing it to survive most battles with Level 4 or below monsters. This is Snowman's perk, and very important when Rai-oh is an excellent side option against HEROs and stuff.

Grand Mole operates completely different from the above cards and is used primarily in control oriented decks like Glad Beasts to get rid of stuff temporarily to open up the opponent's defenses. Penguin and Snowman are defensive-oriented.
