Fusion X. Denver
I've been having the worst luck this week. My laptop's harddrive is corrupt, the nearest Apple store is 20 minutes away by car (at college with no car), I failed to meet every expectation I had for my midterms before break, I used up all the money in my bank account, and the worst part? I was playing Black 2 and ran into a shiny Cresselia. What do I do? Kill it with a critical hit. I can't even focus on doing work because I'm afraid my karma's going to sabotage my mother's flight from Cincinnati tomorrow. So how do you go about calming down and cheering yourself up when you're having a bad day/week/everything?
Darth Revan of the Sith
Zen man. I just calm down and think of future solutions to past problems. Then I calm myself down and forget about the problems.
Tentacruel
A shiny Cresselia? Bro... Like, bro.... I'm sorry...
Βyakuya
For some critical issues like that, that would be hard to get over. Especially with Cresselia there. ._. Normally I'd repress them and focus on doing more worthwhile things. Otherwise I'd make up for any problems or issues to make it better.
BehindTheMask
>Hard drive being corrupt isnt as bad as losing a palette swap. >Spending all your money. Seriously...you don't have your priorities straight. Play less pokemon, study more.
Tentacruel
Or you could play more Pokemon and study less. It's worked pretty well for me.
Lt. Colonel Remo
I was playing Black 2 and ran into a shiny Cresselia. What do I do? Kill it with a critical hit. Oh God that must suck My way of coping with things is to simply forget about it =/ Hope that helps

For example, a week ago I lost two papers due to Open Office crashing, didn't do so well on my mile run, and then I barely lost a match in a tournament I was in which really got me annoyed. Obviously the tournament wasn't a big deal, but since it happened after all the other stuff it's automatically worse then it should be. OT: I already listed my last week, here's hoping this one is better.
Fusion X. Denver
Sometimes the little things make a lot more of a difference when they pile on top of the larger things. This is exactly what I wish my dad understood. He always says it's not too big a deal when I'm in one of those moods, and even if it isn't, it feels that way. One other thing I've been trying to do lately is the old, "Will this matter in 5 years" cliche, and that's worked for the most part. But that doesn't really work for grades when they actually matter now >_>
Cin
We all have moments or days like that. Usually it comes in threes, like this being the third time work have failed to correctly pay me overtime...
Kyng's Old Account
It may be a bit late to reply to this, but I hope my influence can be helpful to you, Fusion. I think, really, when it comes to hard things in life, the best thing you can do is laugh about it. That way you can keep a good spirit and, well, think more positive. Treat it as a learning experience, etc.
