Sora1499
IMO, Slifer is the best god, but Obelisk is far from mediocre. Being a non-targetable/negatable/BTH-able 4k beatstick has its perks, although it loses to things like torrential, dark hole, and mirror force. Agro
Decimates Dragons, Mermails, and Constellars. If you're working against Prophecy or Fire Fists, Wicked Avatar is more effective. Though I'm pretty sure Obelisk can handle Fire Fists as well.

Though I'm pretty sure Obelisk can handle Fire Fists as well. Tiger King + Bear is a pretty straightforward combo to get rid of him for Fire Fists. That's a problem though, you'd have to make side choices cuz otherwise either God could easily become a dead draw.

He can't be targeted. :T

ekko1990
Pretty funny how hard it is to remove. I think you mean "was". I used to play a deck that easily brought this out with hardened armed dragon. Now it isn't even worth running casually as you have tons of stuff that doesn't target that also doesn't destroy. So, this without destruction protection is even easier to get rid off.

Care to explain everything? Because the decks we gave have an especially hard time of getting rid of him.
ekko1990
I don't really need to explain much as the op never said anything about specific decks (and i did quote the op) and in that case, it is easy to remove Obelisk (Tiramisu, D.D. Warrior Lady, Creature Swap, etc. not even counting the non-targeting destruction effects). Anyways. Constellars can bring out Excallibur without too much problem. Dragons can easily bring out their own god. Mermails however, I have to admit will have problems taking care of Obelisk on their own.

Warrior Lady and Crreature Swap are awful arguments. >Constellars >Excalibur What shitty build are you running where you have the space for THAT? And no, they cannot make it easily. They run 3 warriors. Period. EDIT: And I get THIS in reply, in PM, because apparently he can't defend his logic in public, much less in any form other than IT WORKS SO I'M RIGHT.Y'know, the same argument TurtleGary and UrbanStruggle use. Wildflame
Sans Dark Hole and Torrential there are not a lot of generic options to beat this (and heck, people aren't running those at all lately). Prophecies are probably the only deck that's not threatened by this.
Miror B
Anyways. Constellars can bring out Excallibur without too much problem. Why would they want to?

Lt. Colonel Remo
Kind of unrelated, but I lost to Ra recently I was still testing out my Zombie world structure deck I bought recently, and I accidentally locked it down with Patrician of Darkness + Spirit Reaper when I should have had him attack my pyramid turtle or something. He ended up nuking my field and attacking with a 10k atk Ra I ended up drawing Getsu Fuhma next turn (I already had Zombie World on the field + field barrier)

I'm fairly sure he was using Sarcasm... As you might be. OT: It's probably the best Egyptian God atm, Ra being Garbage, and Slifer, whilst having the coolest art, lacks the protection which makes this great. Cute Rotten Yoshika
trap monsters are physical cards. tokens are not. trap monsters can exist off the field (though not as monsters) tokens cannot. OT: the most usable of the 3 god cards. getting rid of this is never easy and obviously is the nuts with tomahawk.
