Dragonmagus
Here's my first attempt at a realistic card: Arm and a Leg. Target player must send three cards in his/her hand to the graveyard; can Special Summon one monster with 2000 ATK or less.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
The card doesn't seem to specify where your opponent gets to SS the card (as you're sure as hell never going to use this on yourself) from. Then there's the issue of balance: The three cards in your opponent's hand are of much more importance than the random monster that they can probably Normal Summon without Tribute anyway, regardless of where they can SS it from. The whole "lose 3 cards" is simply too devastating and the monster they get in return is not going to be enough compensation for their loss. I would say make the card that the player loses become 1 card, but then it's a "Discard 1 card; SS about any Level 4 or lower monster from your hand/Deck/Graveyard (somewhere out there)." There are a LOT of monsters out there that have less than 2k ATK, and this being a beeline to them can't really be that good. Actually, this depends on where the monster gets to come from. This would be pretty sucky if it was from the hand, pretty broken if from the Deck, and pretty much outclassed by Call of the Haunted if from the Graveyard (except this gets to not be stopped by effect destruction). 宇佐見 蓮子@C94
"This card is so great I'm going to use it on myself!" - Said no one ever. The issue with this card here is that it forces your opponent to discard 3 cards just to Special Summon a monster -even from anywhere-, that has less than 2000 ATK. It's essentially a +1 to you and a -2 to your opponent, which is in no way balanced. Then we get the issue of when you're actually using it for yourself, you're pretty much either setting up graveyard combo and that the monster you're going to summon is going to help that combo in some way. Also, because you didn't specify where the monster is summoned for, I just have to pick worst case scenario and that you can summon anything with less than 2000 ATK from anywhere, including the Extra Deck. Which is in no way good card design at all.
