Friend: This is like $50, and I need 3!

Me: Play Pot of Greed instead

Friend: I can't.

Me: Why not?

Friend: Because, it's illegal.

Me: Then treat it the same way you treat underage drinking.

Friend: Touché

Best plan.

It's good in Rabbit, Wind-Ups and Inzektors which is probably where the price tags come from. TBH it should never even have been a Secret as it's just a way for rich people to get a noticeable advantage over others in the same deck, for example Rabbit is meant to be a budget deck.

None of those decks ran this in their prime, which this card came out during. And it's not expensive because it's good, it's expensive because of stupid as fuck TCG hype over what was simply a decent splashable Normal Rare. People saw the OCG running it in a lot of decks and decided it was the holy grail of the game when in reality they were running it because the OCG didn't have the TGU engine yet. It's only still expensive because it's now an out of print Secret that's in need in reprinting.

And Rabbit was in no way meant to be a budget deck, considering at its conception, the only cards essential to the deck that were lower than Ultra Rare were the vanillas. You can't even really make the case that they were meant to be budget in the OCG because Laggia and Leviair were still Ultras there.

However nowadays Rabbit and Wind-Ups do run it and Rabbit is a budget Deck. I'm not saying it's the reason for the ridiculous price tag when it came out but it explains why it's that much now.
