Exiro
So my last list flopped because of some extreme ideas I had. However, it'd be a waste if this took away all the attention from the other goal the list was making: limit boss monsters and unlimit toolbox cards. I still don't see why a ban list should try to eliminate all flaws in the game (if I wanted a game without flaws, I'd play chess), but here's my second attempt to achieve that. Blake
Here's the thing: No one wants it to be flawless. They want the major flaws gone, not the most basic of flaws. I mean, arguably, every deck in the game runs on some sort of bad design, but those decks don't add detrimental factors to the game, such as FTKs, really consistent OTKs, and other unfair gamestates. United shouldn't be hit before you ban Gateway, seeing as Gateway is, essentially, a 1-card win condition, and they can still DO stuff without it. I don't understand why you think 6 solemns is good for the game, but don't feel like arguing it. Judgment Dragon, Gyzarus, and Big Fish are all awful spots on the game, and should be banned, with Bestiari moved up to 3. JD is a purely sacky boss monster that has no business existing in the first place. Gyzarus is just a completely unfair card, both in design and application, that makes a serious slippery slope. Big Fish is an OTK machine.
Exiro
The point is that there's so much one-for-one cards around that the player should find the right moment to drop their boss monster without it getting killed. Hence the six Solemns. Players actually have to be careful about when they drop their Judgment Dragon if they want it to be more than just a one-for-one trade. You can't be reckless like in Konami's formats. Gateway is banned, though.
jabber2033
No hit on Stratos or any other HERO stuff? In fact, you gave Heroes a big boost with RotA at 3 now. Maybe limit The Shining? I also don't see BLS on this list. Other than that, I like this list.
Exiro
No hit on Stratos or any other HERO stuff? In fact, you gave Heroes a big boost with RotA at 3 now. Maybe limit The Shining? I also don't see BLS on this list. Other than that, I like this list. Heroes are indeed rather strong. However, banning Stratos just takes away from their consistency, not from the actual problematic moves. I want to keep the individual fusion monsters unlimited, because I don't want to touch Super Polymerization's power (people may want to use two of each fusion monster for that). I've decided to limit Miracle Fusion, as that's pretty much their Chaos monster (in the sense that it's a beatstick summoned by removing two monsters from the Graveyard, with a fancy effect attached to it). Chaos Sorcerer is banned instead of BLS, so that there's still only one Chaos boss, but one that's still on par with the other bosses around. Also, Gorz is banned. I meant to do that in the first place.
