useless/balanced/broken?

During your opponent’s turn, except during the End Phase: Banish up to 2 LIGHT or DARK monsters from your Graveyard to target the same number of cards your opponent controls; Destroy those targets, and if you do, your opponent can add 1 Spell Card from their Graveyard to their hand.

I think this is pretty powerful. A double destroy and simply requires some banishing is not really nice design, and while you made it so you need either 2 light or either 2 dark monsters, Chaos Decks can't use it that much I don't feel. And your opponent gets a free Spell back so it might be balanced as they can get a Dark Hole or something to destroy your cards. The image is also cool. 8/10

Oh, forgot to ask, why arn't you allowing it to be used doing their End Phase? I know that if you try to use it when they try to go to the End Phase, they will get to make more moves afterwards and not go to it, is that why? I just find it silly to be honest, but I don't know hehe.

That is exactly why. If I allowed it to be used during the End Phase, it would be even more of an OTK enabler i.e. They end their turn -> Kill 2 of their most problematic cards -> Attack for game. Currently it allows your opponent to redo whatever they did/get backup, because otherwise losing 2 cards can be a lot.

I don't think it would matter too much, if they lose two cards, the probably won't be able to do too much to recover it anyways, but it does make it more balanced I suppose, along with the fact that if they return Monster Reborn, they can always get that destroyed monster back. Maybe giving it something like Pot of Duality has might be a good idea, like "you cannot do X the turn you activate this effect" or maybe like "You can only activate "Chaos Transcend" once per turn". OR maybe it's balanaced the way it is, I just don't really like how much control you can gain this way, I mean looks at Evilswarm, banish some used up Ophions with this, and BOOM you are ready to go! But hey, it's your card I guess.

Okay, I'm iffy about this card. Codex claims that having it be 2 LIGHT monsters or 2 DARK monsters means Chaos can't use it a lot. However, the or in the effect allows it to be flexible in any LIGHT or DARK deck in the game. It's a +0, but a dangerous one since it can give your opponent the card they need to win the game (maybe not that turn, but the next turn). Going back to the first effect, it can still win the game for you if your opponent cannot answer with the Spell Card they have gained. TBH, this card makes both players think and that it good. However, I see the possibility of this becoming win-moar.

Well, I meant that if Chaos is about having both in the Grave for the most part, it will be harder to use that way. I'm not too sure about that though, I mean Lightsworn can just put a crapton in the Graveyard I suppose.

Yea, you do have to consider the engines used to get those cards in there. I've played with a surplus of LIGHT and DARK monsters in the Graveyard. =/

By or I mean E-Drags or: You can banish 2 LIGHT, 1 LIGHT 1 DARK, or 2 DARK.

Kinda like that, like Gilasaurus (when it was still being played): If your opponent has nothing of use in the Graveyard, this card can be gooood.

I don't see how it'd be win-moar tho actually. It's not as likely to be able to set it first turn and get full benefit, and the more lategame you activate it, it's more likely that the opponent will have something in their Grave to help, unless you had a clear field anyway and can make combos with whatever you have in hand.

Should I add Spell OR Trap Cards to balance it more?

1st. In that case, you should say "and/or" as that means you can use either just LIGHT or both LIGHT and DARK.

2. I suppose that would work pretty well.

Read the few words before that, and you'll get the context. I did see the up to part of the effect. That does give this card flexibility.

Indeed, I'll agree with you there.

I said the possibility of it becoming win-moar. If this card were to be released, someone would find a way to abuse it and make it win-moar. I don't see how though, but I feel it can be done.

Gives them a better way to counter what you have going on. I say that'd work.
