This card is uneffected by card effects that would require either you or your opponent to play life points (this also includes any cards that were to activate during its summon or would effect a spell or Trap card that would summon this card.) While this card has "Number 44: Sky Pegasus" as a Xyz material, this card gains the following effects;
If your opponent activates a card effect which requires your opponent to pay life points, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the amout of life points paied for that card effect.
*Once per turn, you can Detach 1 Xzy material from this card, then you can select 1 card and destroy it, your opponent can negate this effect by paying 500 life points.

During the battle-phase when this card attacks, this card becomes uneffected by the effects of your opponents Spell and Trap cards until the end of the battle-phase. When this card battles, this card isn't destroyed as a result of battle and inflict damage you would of taken during that battle. While this card has "Number 54: Lion Heart" has a Xyz material, this card gains the following effect;

*Once per turn, when this card battles you can detach 1 Xyz material from this card so during damage calulation, you take no damage during this battle and then increase this cards ATK equal to the amout of damage you would of taken.

Sky Pegasus's self-protection only applies if you Summon it with 3 Level 5 monsters. If your opponent uses Solemn Warning or Judgment on Rank-Up Magic, this protection will not stop it. It's not worth Ranking Up since it effectively detaches for 500 damage each turn. That number needs to be way, way higher.

 

The OCG for the second one could be:

It seems pointless to block the Battle Damage when its Continuous effect already redirects the battle damage to your opponent.
