If I saw the effect right, it can attack directly for a measly 400 during the turn that it is Normal Summoned, and then become a 1200 non-direct attacker? Even if it remained a direct attacker once it hit 1200, it is still a rather weak standalone card. It's practically Wattgiraffe now, but minus its extra effect or the support. You've created a card that doesn't like to work well with others, and cards that don't work that well with others tend to have a very powerful effect, cards like Dark Hole, Heavy, and MST. It would be a lot better for this card to actually support something rather than to exist for a mere 400 points of damage that probably won't increase.

You're also in the mindset that these pure direct attackers have to be horrifyingly weak stat-wise. The truth is that with so much effect destruction going on (and battles in the first place), it is very common for a monster without the effect to attack directly to do so for much more damage. In fact, there are many battles where the loser takes more damage than would with this card. If you want to make this card actually have a chance to be useful, it should have an effect that is actually trying to help your Deck bring home the victory rather than try to win by itself. Be creative and give it some effect that other terribly lame direct-attackers don't have. It should be something that allows it to be able to work with other cards. Take its Attribute and Type into consideration, because those two factors are a major indicator of what this may be working with. But as it stands, it really needs to do more than dish out scratch damage.

Oh, and we like it better if you make the edit for your card in the thread that it is in rather than make a whole new thread about it.
