Starform, is that you? [Celestial Dragon]

StarformDragon-JOTL-JP-UR.png

Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card's Synchro Summon cannot be negated. When Special Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. If this card attacks, it is unaffected by other card effects until the end of the Damage Step.

Okay, so we've had a Starform thread before, but apparently they've given a far worse divisive name, and have limited it to a Synchro Summmon (just realised that has always been the case);I like now that I've had a chance to use it... I don't know, it is nice and generic; so might see some play, and 3200 is a healthy amount of ATK. (The artwork is still immense). Incarnates and Debris looks like a good bet.

Thoughts, now we can see it in full?

Am I the only one who kinda likes Celestial Dragon?

It isn't terrible, or anything; I just Starform goes with the art; and is more fun to say(shout): 'STARFORM, OBLITERATE!'

I like shouting things...

It's a really cool card. The first Level 11 Synchro, and is awesomely generic without any heavy Material requirement (like 2 non-Tuners or more). 3200 ATK is plenty, and the fact the Summon can't be negated or responded to is amazingly useful.

Also, being outright immune to card effects when it attacks is awesome. Cards can activate, so it's not entirely anti-Galaxy-Eyes or a real Ancient Gear-type of monster, but it won't be affected by Mirror Force or Magic Cylinder (lol).

I think it's awesome, just not meta worthy right now.

You laugh until it costs you a game.

Actually, I've lost several games from Cylinder. Usually it's because I got overconfident and attacked my opponent directly with Galaxy-Eyes. One time, I could have gone into Hieratic Overlord and destroyed the card. The other time was in a 3-way duel and I attacked the Cylinder player directly rather than the third player's monster. I felt quite dumb.

No s*** it's Starform Dragon. What tipped you off? The art? The effect? Everything?

I find it to be a smoother name. Also, a great card.

The topic name worked better in my head. It was just name related, as I like the old name more.

I agree, I find that Celestial Dragon rolls off the tongue easier than Starform.

True, but that's exactly why I like the other name, it's hard and strong. Celestial sounds a bit weak and flowery; it would work on a fairy or something, not on a huge dragon... but that's just me...

It does? It doesn't seem that weak to me since Celestial is generally something used to define a creature of the heavens.

I'd imagine a celestial fairy would be pretty fucking huge and dangerous.

Yeah, but still a fairy; not a dragon. Celestial just isn't a Dragon term to me, they should be called Smasher or Bruiser or SuperFlyingJawsMarauder Dragon. Something like that.

Celestial is a term for heavanly bodies like stars.

This dragon is actually a star I think, or at least one of the forms of it (Hence Star Form), so it is an accurate thing to use.

It's just less in your face about what it is than Starform, which I like.

Yeah, I get all that. I suppose it's preference; but I don't think the name lives up to the image. It's only a small thing, but Starform felt more original and imaginative. Either way, I'm liking the card more and more.

>Debris
>King Fog
Funny thing~
Fog can be Summoned whenever.
Debris can revive Fog.
Redox can revive either Fog OR Debris, to which the other can be Summoned right after.
Tidal can mill Fog, for Debris can revive.
Debris can be searched off of BOTH of Tempest's effects.
Blast just kicks back, and eats popcorn while he watches all of this unfold.

Am I the only one who thinks of this card as a card version of the Crimson Dragon?

The Crimson Dragon should be its own card with a mondo Accel Synchro Summon condition like the one Yusei used to Summon Shooting Quasar Dragon [Anime Version]. Then it be another win condition or some super hyped up overpowered card that would wreak the game even further than it already is.

OT - I like this card lots. Funniest way I've summoned it is with Ally Mind and Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 XD
