Aix
What the !@#$%^&** is &^%$$^&**&^%$$%^&* this? !@#$%^&**&^%$#@!@#$$$$$%#$#&%$@&$@& First of all, you are not allowed to post more than 1 card in Realistic Cards - Single Cards. You are not allowed to use attachments. Click on your card if you are using YCM's cardmaker and a thing for you to copy and paste into your post should appear below the card image. If you are using Yugico, right-click on it and click "Copy Image URL", then come here and click on the "Image" button and paste the image url into there. You must write out in your post the effects of each card. Divine-Beast cards are not realistic and thus are not allowed. Also, don't use the Ritual Card Template or Obelisk Template for ordinary Effect Monsters. The other two aren't even Xyz or Synchro monsters, so why are they using that template? Reaper's Son is perfectly fine because it's hard to bring out and Normal Monsters are almost never used these days. Splendid Moon is silly because it destroys itself when its summoned. If you don't mean for it to destroy itself, it's overpowered. Why does L have so much ATK? I can never imagine L attacking anyone or anything, he'd get someone else to do it for him. Ice Kirby
Oh boy. Lets start with your Splendid Moon, eh? First off, do you understand how Synchro monsters work? That card lists no tuner and the monsters needed to be tuned to summon it, and then it's first two effects are WTFBOOM powerful. I don't even know what the last effect on Splendid Moon is, so Splendid Moon gets a 0.5/10. Same with your XYZ monster, L. I don't think you know how those work, either. I can't really review him because you don't have Kira or Death Note Book here, but just for it's stupid level required and the fact that it will never be able to be summoned because I don't know of 2 or more level 12 spellcaster monsters gives it a 0/10. Reaper's Son seems to be a little better than the other two, but it still is not good. The card says it's a ritual monster but there is no ritual listed to summon it, so therefore there is no way to summon that card. Secondly, you didn't list that the card had an effect yet it does. Reaper's Son is like a walking Swords of Revealing Light and normal monsters aren't really played anymore so it's last effect is useless. I'll give it a 2/10. Overall, you need to kind of look over these cards, and I need to verify if you even play Yu-gi-oh or not, because these cards suggest otherwise. 1/10 overall. Miror B
They're cool and all, but right now they look more like random cards you make to derp around. Divine and Divine Beast are generally not welcome in Realistic Cards unless you work pretty hard to pull them off. None of your cards have the usual text. Rituals mention their ritual spells and Xyz and Synchro mention what materials they need to be summoned. Your ritual is...eh. Normal Monsters aren't used much, and if they are it's usually to go into non-normal monsters. Your Synchro is full on field nuke regardless of where it comes from. If it doesn't kill itself, well that's even worse because now you have a 6000 wall. Not great on the card design. Your Xyz is...unreliable. It only works with a certain monster out (which we can't see because you never made it) and it's only 2500 ATK for what I assume is 2 lvl 12s. pretty weak. I know it's your first cards but you do need the criticism.
Ren✧
I am glad to see a new member that wants to learn about card making, unfortunately there are a number of things wrong with your cards and the way that you posted them, but don't worry it is a mistake that we all make at some point, and I will do my best to help you. First, I will start with how you posted your cards. Cards should not be attached, it is unsightly and adds clutter. Instead, while in the card maker, you can click on the finished product of a card and beneath the card an image code will appear. Copy and paste the code into the thread in which you want to post your card. Then, beneath your card, you should post the Lore, also known as card text or simply as the effect. This allows members to better see your card's effect as well as allowing an easy time to correct in OCG(Official Card Grammar) mistakes. Explanations about the card's rulings, inspiration, or backstory can be included, but they are not mandatory and aren't a too common sight. Now onto a similar matter. You will notice that YCM has a number of different subforums, each dedicated to one thing or another. There are a number of card creation subforms, each meant for a different things. Realistic Cards(RC). Written Cards. Any Other Cards(AoC). Within AoC there is another subforum known as Pop Culture Cards. While I don't know for sure, some of these cards may belong in the Pop Culture Card section, this is because they are based off of an anime, game, show, movie, comic series, etc. Anything of that nature belongs in Pop Culture. Now onto the cards themselves. Looking at the first one, I can see a number of problems. You use a Ritual Card template, but there is no mention of it being a ritual monster, or a ritual spell being listed in the card text. This is common with newer members who are just experimenting with the card maker. They are trying out all the features, looking to create something that is fun and fantastic, at least in their eyes. Unfortunately, that isn't what is deemed 'realistic' or even usable in the game play. Posting in the Realistic Card section says that you would intend this to be a real card, with an actual place in the game. These cards don't fit that standard. They are quite frankly, random cards that serve no purpose other than to satisfy your curiosity involved in card making, and that is all fine and well, but should be kept to AoC, and even then should be more refined than this. A big no-no is the use of the Divine-Beast and DIVINE type and attribute. It just screams newb, and will often get you hated on. I am not going to review the cards individually, because they really just need to be completely redone as whole, but there is one last thing I want to touch on before I leave you with this hopefully helpful review. Images! Card images should be Yu-Gi-Oh-like in appearance and should have style, and whatnot. This blank white space makes the cards look trashy and are an automatic turn off. This will scare away a lot of viewers, restricting that amount of praise/hate/reviews that you will get. I have a few links that may be of help when looking for images. http://s825.photobucket.com/user/JazinKay/profile http://s1091.photobucket.com/user/Sword-Summoner/library/?sort=3&start=all&page=1 [hr] EDIT: Guys, give her(I am assuming you are a girl) a break. She is new. Yes her cards are bad. And yeah she should get a better understanding of the game/site before posting, but keep in mind she is new and if we ever want our community to expand we have to be nice.
