Sacred Beasts

Recommended Posts

Hamon has Crystal Beasts as a potentia method of summoning, even if he isn't the optimal method, and not much else. Uria has Trap Monsters, and they just got Shapesister. Add in Imperial Custom and Magic Planter, and you have cool moves. Raviel how has Malicevorous, he can use Fires of Doomesday, and a couple other things.

Armityle... Really needed Dark Summoning Beast, Chaos Core and Lost Paradise Printed. As it stands, he needs a decidated deck with Phantom of Chaos and/or Prisma to summon him, and he isn't worth it. Which is sad, because I love how nightmarish he is in EVERY sense.

I once built a Uria deck, with about 30 Continuous Traps, Card Trooper, Sangan (RIP in peace) and Magic Planters. It wasn't great if you opened all traps, but there were Trap monsters plus that Trap that protects Continuous Traps. 9000 ATK Urias were lulzy, but it was never really competitive.

As for the others, they require too much cost for something so mundane. If you wanted a 4000 beater, you could just run a field spell and Malefic Cyber End. I'd recommend that to DW or CB who could run Raviel and Hamon, respectively. A shame, but what legendary monsters are worth the investment?

Slifer, Avatar, and Obelisk are worth the investment against certain decks. But all of these are mediocre. Summoning one is great for the sake of flavor, but they barely give you any payoff in return.

these monsters are mediocre but that's mostly because they all require dedicated decks to run at decent power(in relation to the cost of summoning them). If they ever got proper support (like the cards that were in the anime for them) they would be pretty boss in their own deck.

I honestly hope somebody finds a way to abuse these cards, because right now they lack the power  that legendary monsters are supposed to have.

Uria is extremely fun. Hamon is meh and is really only "easily" Summoned in Crystal Beasts. Raviel is outclassed by other 3 Tribute beaters like Obelisk or the Wicked Gods.

Uria actually became significantly WEAKER, though. Without priority, it no longer can exploit its Ignition Effect upon Summon, and prevent Bottomless or Torrential from being activated. That said, Trap Monsters love him, and he's my favorite of the Sacred Beasts, although the only one I don't actually have. I got Raviel from a tin and Hamon from a pack (the only good card I pulled from SOI packs, with the exception of Treeborn and Demise).

I also like Armityle, but he's unplayable without the aforementioned Phantom of Chaos/Prisma Deck. Summoning even one of the Sacred Beasts requires a dedicated Deck. Summoning them all is borderline impossible, and in exchange you get a monster that essentially wins the game...if its attack succeeds. It only has 10,000 during your turn, so being unable to die in battle with 0 ATK is only so good.

Armityle really is the first (and maybe only) card in the game to directly reference a number above 5000.

I have Uria and Hamon, both from their tins. What is weird though is that I have my Uria card and Hamon tin, but am missing my Uria tin and Hamon card. I /really/ want to find that tin though cause I'm pretty sure my Blue-Eyes Ultimate is in there.

Anyways, Uria is my favorite as well, always has been. Mainly cause Slifer is my favorite Egyptian God and well Uria is based off of him. Its a shame Armityle is so difficult because winning with him would be so lulzy.
