Bringerofcake Posted June 6, 2013 Report Share Posted June 6, 2013 Hail of Searing Flame Continuous Trap Apply this effect, based on the number of Continuous Trap Cards in your Graveyard: 1 or 2: When this card is activated; Send 1 Continuous Trap Card from your Deck to your Graveyard and add 1 "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames" from your Deck to your hand, but if you do, you cannot Special Summon "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames" until your next End Phase. You cannot activate this effect if you control a "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames". 3+: Negate the effects of cards that would destroy a "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames" in your possession. If a card or effect is activated, and negated by this effect; send this card to the Graveyard. You can only activate one effect of "Hail of Searing Flame" per turn. Striker Posted June 6, 2013 Report Share Posted June 6, 2013 So, I can Special Summon a guaranteed 3k beater that is also the equivalent of a blind MST by having no Continuous Trap Cards in my Graveyard? That doesn't sound fair tbh, even some (if not all) of that can't happen the turn it is Summoned. I don't like how that is even remotely possible. And the thing that worries me is the uncertainty of being able to use multiple effects in a turn. If that is possible, this will do a bit too much for its own good. It's hard to make support for something that is powerful, but is difficult to pull out. I mean, you have to be careful, and you weren't careful with this card. If I could change anything with this, I would probably not make it so easy to bring Uria out with this card. TBH, I don't really know how to accomplish that considering this is a fine line that is being walked on. So yea, that's what I have to say on the subject. Bringerofcake Posted June 6, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 6, 2013 Taking what you have said into consideration, I've decided to do away with the first effect. Since Sangan is no longer a thing, it's a lot harder to get Uria to hand in the first place. I'd intended for the first effect to be a Turn 1 sort of deal, but going back on it it is basically saying that you get a 3000 beater for free. So it's gone now.
