Zazubat
As with the Normal Monster discussion thread, discuss everything about Sub-Types. Includes: Union, Gemini, Toon, Spirit, Tuner.
Sleepy
Toons are no different than an archetype. It's just that they were one before the idea of archetypes solidified enough. Tuners are fine, they should make more. Gemeni are a solid mechanic. If only the game wasn't too fast for them. Unions and Spirits (just like Toons) are not entirely consistent in their mechanics. I think some of these mechanics should work like the code terms in MTG, the rest are just glorified archetypes.

Sleepy
What are these code terms? I do not play MTG, so I would not know. Magic the Gathering uses code terms for certain effects to shorten the amount of text. It sounds like it'd be just more to memoryse, but actually they are easy to remember. Examples include: Trample: It means your monster inflicts piercing Battle Damage. In MTG, if a monster with even huge amounts like 100 power destroys a monster with 1, your life is usually still safe. So that hability exists. Flying: It means your monster attacks directly. In MTG, all monsters attack directly, but the defending player can send his/her monsters to block those attacks. When a monster has Flying, it's out of reach for most monsters to block, you essentially need to have a Flying monster to defend with to block it, or have an hability called Reach. First Strike: Usually when 2 monsters battle in MTG, they hit each other at the same time. Their points work for example like this: 1/4. Where that 1 would be it's ATK, and the 4 would be it's Life. So when they battle, your monster's ATK gets substracted from your opponent's monster's life, so monsters with different ATKs can still destroy each other in battle. Anyways, what First Strike does is that your card gets to do the damage first, so if it's enough to destroy the other card, yours gets away with no scratches. Those are 3 of the many many examples. This is personal taste, but I'd like subtypes to be handled that way, although Yugioh subtypes are mostly never constant enough to get reduced to 1 term like this. I think it could help. If for example Unions are no longer strong enough with just battle protection, the definition of Union could just be errata'd from the rulebook to keep them usable. Or little things like that. They could also be able to put more than one at a time. For example, Dragunities could have had more casual fun if they had gotten Union support, but they couldn't be Unions because they had to be Tuners. That's more or less what I meant. I'd have fun with that.
Syncopation
Genimi: there were the bomb back in the day, but now there are hard to work with; especially since the average duelist Normal Summon once or twice, which not to mention a crapload of Special Summons to follow close by. Toons: I want to see some more of these. Imagine it... Toon Dark Magician, Toon Red- Eyes B. Dragon, Toon E. Hero Neos; and hell they can slap some Synchro Toons, Fusion Toons, and Xyz Toons into the mix. I mean nothing is preventing Konami from doing so. Tuners: It almost seems like Konami dosen't want anybody to synchro summon monsters anymore. They banned Spore and Glow-Up Bulb and a lot of monsters they release cannot be used for a synchro summon. Heck, there not making anymore synchros in general. They should make more tuners AND synchro monsters. Union: Out of all the union monsters out there, there is only one that is fairly bounce-able(Armor Breaker). They need to make more like him. Spirit: These cards are SLOWWWWW!! They cannot be Special Summoned plus they don't even stay on the field for a full turn. Personally, the only Spirit I use is "Asura Priest" because of his "FU attack". Northern Sage
Tuners: It almost seems like Konami dosen't want anybody to synchro summon monsters anymore. Totally why they're releasing new Synchro Monsters.
Syncopation
Totally why they're releasing new Synchro Monsters. What is the point of making new Synchro monsters if there are no tuners(or cards that support synchro summons) to follow them?
Zazubat
What is the point of making new Synchro monsters if there are no tuners(or cards that support synchro summons) to follow them? Mecha Phantoms have Tuners. Also, there exists plenty Tuners already dude.

Syncopation
Okay, I get the memo. Plenty of tuners, dodalalalalala. Don't taze me bros. I'm am just one person, a completely oblivious person, who don't look at Yugioh Wiki but instead get the word out at the streets(school). Now I know, but then, knowing is half the battle now isn't it.
Therrion
I wish Spirit and Gemini would get more attention from Konami and get a big push one set. As for the rest (excluding Tuners), I never really cared for them. Toon is like an archetype, and Union was just slapped on cards when it didn't really need to be. They could've just been effect monsters and had the same exact effect. No comment on Tuners, as there is none needed for them. They need to be there for the sole purpose of Synchro Monsters. Off Topic: You're weird, Sr. Person above me. You're in the TCG Section and claim to not keep up with the TCG/OCG as a whole. That is rather odd. I just don't look at the Yu-Gi-Oh wikia and the abundance of tuners
