wero-vasto
2 Level 4 monsters. Negate the effects of all monsters with 0 ATK or DEF. During either player's turn, you can detach up to 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then activate 1 of these effects, depending on the number of Xyz Materials detached. ● 1: Target 1 face-up monster on the field; its ATK or DEF becomes 0. ● 2: Target 1 Defense Position monster on the field; change it to face-up Attack Position, and if you do, its ATK becomes 0. Flip Effects are not activated at this time. Cause Reptiliannes have cousins and I prefer like the concept of 0 ATK. Anyway, CnC appreciated. Image credit: -Doom. Blake
This is a very, very badly thought out card because of the fact that you just outclassed Papilloperative in just about every way. A double detach is one thing, but that actually benefits many decks that can easily Rank 4 more than a single detach. Now, while that is a concern, it's not even my main one.The single detach is like Starliege Paladynamo, but better because you can do it twice, during either player's turn. The only difference is that it doesn't float, but it does more, on a quick effect, and has the added benefit of being able to hit DEF if you so desire. Oh, and there's the fact that Paladynamo requires 2 Level 4 LIGHT monsters, not 2 Level 4s.Now, the topper on this card's abysmal design isn't that it's quick, isn't even that it says "lolwhat's a Paladynamo or Starliege?", it's that it isn't once per turn. You make a quick effect that makes the opponent sit down and says "Fuck you" basically, and you don't restrict it at ALL? What the hell, man? Now you've offended Shark Drake Veiss on top of everything so far by having no cost to using an effect like it while also negating effects. My assessment of this card and its design is that you put little to no thought into it and just slapped what sounded "cool" on it, then moved on with your life. You've ignored that cards exist that serve the same purposes and piled effects on in an attempt to make a good card, even barring an effect exclusive to 2 LEvel 4 LIGHT or worse.Either that, or you knew they existed and just didn't care.Moved to AoC. You can repost if you correct the design of the card.
wero-vasto
Either that, or you knew they existed and just didn't care. Basically, this. Just wanted to see how this idea would flow. Now, I've got the points to change and I'll re-post it later. ;) Thank you.
.codex
It's already been said what needs to be said pretty much, and he's right, having a negate at 0, on a 2100, which doesn't care if the monster is face-up or not, and then also during either player's turn just makes this unfair as all hell. I can't say there's many good ways you can make this card not be designed badly, maybe unless you give it another cost than just having it be Xyz Materials only. I'm actually staying with one of the effects (the first one pretty much) and use the other in other card. Want to keep the effect as quick as it is, so, other than especific Materials, what can I add as cost?
