New Noble Knights Xyz {Lancelot, Lord of the Noble Knights} (Sora Single)

Artorigus is the muscle, Lancelot is the consistency,  I did this to make first-turn rabbit plays more powerful as well as to give the deck more consistency overall.

Comment, review, rate, hate, whatever.  Enjoy!

When this card is Xyz summoned: You can add 1 "Noble Arms" or 1 "Noble Knight" card from your deck to your hand. Once per turn, when this card is equipped with a "Noble Arms" equip card or when you summon a "Noble Knight" monster: You can detach 1 Xyz material from this card; destroy 1 card on the field.[/spoiler]

Last time I checked, Lancelot is male...

Aside from that, which is actually a pretty big hang up for me, I don't find anything overly wrong with the card. However, i think two things need to be addressed.

Once per turn, when this card is equipped with a "Noble Arms" equip card or when you summon a "Noble Knight" monster:

When you say summon, I think you should specify as to either Normal or Special, I not it is probably intended to be either, but I think it just makes it look nicer and seems to be better design if you do it that. Also, I can't figure out if this effect activates during the action of equipping a card to it, or if it is any time while it is equipped. I assume it is the first though.

You can only use 1 effect of "Lancelot, Lord of the Noble Knights" per turn, and only once that turn.

This really, I don't think, is needed. If you specify it to normal or special summon, like I suggested above, you should be good.

I like when it just says Summon, though, as it offers (with another card's support) access to the effect on your opponents turn (CotH ftw).

The search makes up for the -1 upon Summon, making the play a straight up 0, then a +1 upon equipping. Card is great, balanced, and well presented and probably best kept as is.

I'd like to point out to you http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ignoble_Knight_of_Black_Laundsallyn is supposed to be Lancelot, as seen here: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Noble_Knight. That being said, it may be wrong, but I don't know enough about it to argue with it.

That's where I'll step in - indeed, flavour wise, this card is quite lacking, what with many, if not all Noble Knight & Arms cards using a name of origin rather than the translated names in their place. Also, Renegade doth speaking the truth when saying Laundsallyn was a male. Its effect doesn't have the ideal synergy with the Noble Knights that I would like.

Fortunately a Card is not purely flavour, and this card's effect is pretty nice nonetheless. The OPT clause is much needed what with being able to pop out an Artorigus (Vanilla) & Gawayn combo, so it is definitely balance. The last line, though, defeats the purpose of what I originally perceived this card to be - while Artorigus (Xyz) serves as aggresive, back-row oblitheration purposes, I expected this card to be the saving grace that you'd need in a pinch, but sadly you cannot pop out its second effect upon summoning.

Overall, I am mixed about it. I would have to disagree with Therrion and concur with Renegade on saying the last line needs to be removed. I think it makes this card unreliable.

I put the last line in there so that you can't summon this for an insta-pop on top of a search, and I think I'm gonna keep that as-is.  But thank you all for your reviews.

Thought I could help out with the OCG. Now the card is pretty good, although the picture needs a change!

Just imagine it is a feminine man with a big butt and slight indents on his body armor. There.

The fact he is a she doesn't bother me at all, though. It's moreso that Lancelot doesn't have wings, not that he doesn't have boobs, that bothers me about the card art XD

Yeah, but the wings I can ignore, just putting it to the fact that there wasn't a better image. But the fact that is female when Lancelot is a male is just frustrating to me...
