This was inspired by the new Lv. 3 Synchro that I forgot the name of, but then after naming it and having it only with that effect I wasn't satisfied with the Assailant, so I added some Assailant-like abilities and viola!

2 Level 3 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; this turn, its ATK becomes 0, and if it does, its effects are negated. When this card with Xyz Material is targeted for an attack: Banish it until your next Standby Phase. While this card has no Xyz Materials, this card can attack your opponent directly.

Loving the creativity around this card! Definitely some nice flavor going on here. It is a good enough card, being able to take down powerful bosses, but still maintaining well within the balanced zone. Loving the idea of gaining a benefit from no Xyz Materials, I made a few cards like that earlier in my 100 Single Challenge and they got much praise for that. I find nothing wrong with the card, loving the idea behind it and the flavor is wonderful. Not sure that it would replace Leviathan all together, but is a nice Rank 3 Xyz Monsters. Opens up for more Tour Guide plays. Very nice!

Leviathan sucks, so maybe it would. XD The ability is has to down any monster and inflict 1200 damage, and none the less return later for another 1200. It slips under Bottomless, isn't worth Mirror Forcing or exhausting too much on period, and ensures it will power through anything makes it a very good generic Rank 3 in my eyes, and thus made me happy as a card maker.

Thanks for the review, a like for you, someone else comment and a like may you find too!

Yup. I just said that. Cheesy as heck.

I guess it is true. Not too many good Rank 3s out there. I can see this being run in level 3 centric decks for sure. I can definitely tell your creativity and originality in card making is improving, and you are keeping to your same level of competitiveness when it comes to the effects as well. So a like for you as well. Just because you deserve recognition for my favorite card of yours yet.

Favorite of mine? Hmm, I didn't realize it was better then all my others, though that is your opinion. Thanks Renegade ^^

Well from what I have seen, it is definitely the most creative of the cards of yours that I have reviewed. Perhaps not the most competitive, but you know I am a sucker for creativity and flavor. :D

What the hell are you talking about, Renegade? This and balanced? Oh, sure, let me just Summon Tour Guide, fetch a Level 3 Fiend and Summon this to take down your boss / whatever else you have on the field. What? Don't complain! This card is balanced.

Blatant sarcasm aside, this is far from being balanced. The card allows you to do so much for only maining TGU. Essentially, this card is the generic version of Starliege Paladynamo (which is balanced, given how only decks that concentrate on LIGHT monsters can run it).

tl;dr: Renegade doesn't know what he's talking about, card isn't balanced.

Then perhaps you could point out Wind-Up Zenmaines? I had to make it a valid option over it, as it stands Zenmaines just rams into something and does his End Phase magic as well.

Do you view Bull Blader as OP too? Honestly, destroying something assuredly by battle isn't that OP of an effect, and quite frankly, a somewhat unreliable effect. He has no protection, and is easily destroyed in battle at the stats he possesses.

I could make it Attribute Specific, but the Attribute would be DARK anyways so that wouldn't matter all that much.

What part of "it can trump over any monster" did you not understand? Hint hint, you do not take any damage if you ram into a 0 ATK monster with a 1200 ATK monster. Hell, you're not even forced to attack with this card.

My point still stands; the game doesn't need a generic Starliege Paladynamo.

Okay, while Bull Blader doesn't deal damage, a monster that is a -1 upon Summon should have points of which it is better then a 1600 Normal Summon that took absolutely no effort to Summon. Starliege also draws a card upon destruction, and none the less boasts a decent amount of ATK. This does neither but kill one monster (if uncontested) AND comes back as a Weaker Drill Barnacle (assuming it has attacked once already).

Also, again, you could say to make it not generic, but the follow up to not being generic is requiring DARK Material, in which case is still TGU accessable. What would you rather it do?
