Goodbye Zenmaines.

The whole point in Zenmaines is that it forces the opponent to be able to get rid of it completely to get over it so it gives you more stalling potential, plus it has rubbish stats from what I see. Zenmaines is still better than this.

The selling point is the no-targeting, especially as Big Eye is an issue.

How is it better than Zenmaines? It has horrible stats and gives you nothing in return other than immunity to destruction for 2 attempts, and then returns itself and 2 Level 3s from the Graveyard to the Deck. That seems almost pointless.

It's amazing in Archfiends, pretty much infinitely better than Zenmaines. Would you care to hazard a guess why? Also the fact that it cannot be targeted is very important in this case, as you cannot Compulsory or Big Eye it. Of course Fate strikes again but still.

Also returning 2 Level 3s to the Deck is important because it returns TGU and it's target to the Deck so you always have a live TGU with a good card to float with

This card (format wise) > Zenmaines

Why?

"This card cannot be targeted by card effects. If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: Target 2 Level 3 monsters in your Graveyard; shuffle them into the Deck, and if you do, shuffle this card from your Graveyard into the Extra Deck. You can only use this effect of "Number 49: Fortune Tune" once per turn."

Additional Bonus:

During each of your Standby Phases: Gain 500 Life Points.

It...to some extent, also provides some levity towards cards like Gagaga Cowboy and Blackship, although Blackship has nothing on this.

Oh, wait, does it detaching to prevent its destruction trigger Trick Archfiend?

Fortune Tune:

If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.

Zenmaines:

If this face-up card on the field would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.

So yes, it does. That was kinda a given.
