Endless Despair [Toyo Single]

This might become an archetype, these Black Hails. I quite like them. Anyway, I don't have anything interesting to say so... here, have this card's theme song if it was ever on an anime or video game.

I like this card (because I much enjoy the days when a Duel was determined by Battle, not by stupid swarming and winning during the Main Phase with an unprecedented advantage.) This brings me back to a nicer, much more honest time in the game, and it is one of those cards that, when used skilfully, can be quite crippling. That doesn't make it overpowered, however, because this card demands you to have skill to wield it.

It is honestly a God out of a Machine and does act as a sound counterpart against Utopia. It has stats that are appropriate for its range and competition, which is also a pretty nice thing to add, it makes the card more flavourful. The music was a nice touch, too.

Overall you've made a good card, Toyo, it is really as simple as that - I have no criticism to offer you, only praise.

It's a bit slower compared to its other 3-mat rank 4 options, but it's far from bad. The design is interactive and you are most certainly compensated for your investment. It's overall well-designed. Now, a little problem I have with it is that it doesn't breach the 2500 mark, which is where a lot of the good monsters' ATK values fall. I think it would do the card justice to increase the ATK to either 2550 or 2600.
