Kyng's Old Account
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersOnce per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects. You cannot activate that effect again until the End Phase of your next turn.● Target 1 monster on the field; destroy it.● Target 1 Spell or Trap card on the field; destroy it.[hr]Flavour Music - Dark Gaia's SpawnRoar! Thus cometh from the flames their most true and prominent king! The fires of the Grave themselves could not keep the destructive might Tyrantosaurus yields! His flames can destroy with ease those who threaten this great, powerful Lord! Tremble before the might that comes in the heat of the Blazing King! I am really proud of the flavour music, it is really fitting for the occasion. Anyway, I figured a Generic Lv9 Synchro was in order at some point, potential Jurrac play maybe? Ren✧
It seems kinda lack luster to me, but that might be a side effect of the slight confusion I am getting from the card. *reads through card again* OH! Okay I was reading it as though the effect didn't activate until the End Phase. I am understanding it now. I feel as if the destruction of monster could do without the nerf though. Or perhaps less of one. Something like he can't attack directly that turn, or any battle damage he inflicts this turn is reduced to 0. That is really the only problem I have with the card, and it could just be me. I don't really know how it would work in Jurracs, I haven't played them since they first came out. This just reminds that I need to get back into card making.
Sora1499
I dunno about Jurracs, but I'm sure the card itself would see play. First and foremost, it's a synchro, so it automatically gets some points from me. It's also a purely generic level 9, so it's usable in a variety of decks. 2800 is solid ATK for something like this, although the defense is skimpy, but that's perfectly fine. The dual-part effect makes it versatile, and the "You cannot activate that effect until your next end phase" makes you think about which one to use when. If anything, I don't think it's first effect needs that last restriction. It's not like you can spam multiples of these for an OTK, and if you can, then it's your deck that busted, not this card. Also, I must complement you on your choice of artwork. It looks fucking awesome. Where'd ya get it?
Kyng's Old Account
Revised effect inserted, thanks for the comments. Hopefully he's more competitive! =DTo answer your question, Sora, I store tons of good pics I find on the interwebz in a private Imgur Album. This one, I believe, came from this Deviantart Gallery: http://raphtil.deviantart.com/gallery/
Kyng's Old Account
The card's restrictions have been removed. This card's inability to use the same effect twice I feel is a nerf enough.
Therrion
Balance/Playability Well, as it stands, people are going into Kiganjou, so this would definitely have homes. Many, infact, as it completely overshadows Kiganjou. Kigan breaks the 3000 threshold, but this card can simply destroy whatever monster stands in its way without attacking, and still attack for even more advantage. This card also redeems the -1 of Synchroing (assuming two monsters were used, not three) instantly, making sure a Mirror Force/etc. doesn't leave you down cards. Destroying is getting weaker and weaker, but it is still a very valid, powerful effect. Flavour/Originality I don't believe this piece was pursueing either, but moreso pursueing a competitive standpoint in which it did well. FIRE and destroying has been a long held concept, so I guess it works. I could also see this guy stomping baddies underfoot, so I have no issue with the destroying. FIRE Dinosaur is nice fit for the picture, which is ugly (I personally don't care for that art style), but gets the job done. I love the name in every friggin' way. Suggestions/Additional Comments Well, I have none. Stay classy.
