You can target 1 "Number C39" monster you control; equip this monster from your hand or your side of the field to that target. While this card is equipped to a monster, the equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle. At the end of the Damage Step, if the equipped monster attacked a monster but did not destroy it by battle: The ATK of the attacked monster becomes 0, and if it does, the equipped monster can attack that monster once again.

So when this thing first came out I didn't realise just how kickass its effect was because there's almost no way a Utopia Deck would lose a battle and because it needs a C39. But the prevalence of Drackssack means you can push for an OTK against Dragon Rulers without worrying about pesky Tokens. Also, Bujin are a thing now, and this thing punishes Habakiri plays like no tomorrow.

Besides, this thing single-handedly made Episode 98 of ZeXal watchable. Not Victory, not Umbral, this thing. Because

Oh how I wish that was in the background of its artwork like with Leo Arms. And its anime effect was the most bonkers thing ever.

Hoopu Rei Bui de Shainingu wo Kougeki!

...er, discuss this thing and its level of awesomeness.

I like it, but it's pretty mediocre unless you're battling an indestructible monster or something somehow stronger. Thankfully, that includes Dracosack. I've tested it for fun a few times, but found it lacking because as stated, a Utopia deck is rarely in danger of losing a battle, least of all with a Number C39.

I'm not fond of the name "Chimera Clad", partially because I don't think it makes sense. Clad is a verb, not a noun.

The way it's being used does make sense, actually, becuase of the way it forms an entire suit of armour for the monster. It becomes "chimera-clad". Its Japanese name was "Chimera Cloth", which is just Engrish.

I'm not saying I'd main it, but it's a neat side for Dragons. Equip Leo and this to C39, attack Dracossack for 2900. Activate Cloth, add 5500 more. OTK'd. And again, against Bujin is baits Habakiris. Noteworthy, its effect isn't once per turn, so you can ram until they run out. Ideal? No, but workable.

You'd only get one extra attack maximum from this. It's the same as BLS and pretty much every other monster that gets an additional attack.

You still do more damage with it, though, which is what I was getting at.

Like, say for example, Utopia Ray has Clad equipped and attacks something like Caius, and you flip Half Shut in the Damage Step.
Utopia does 1300 damage from that battle, then Clad activates, and you do an additional 2500.

Or you could be cool and play a deck with a bunch of Marshmallon-monsters and just Creature Swap them to the Opponent's side.

Actually, that's not entire true evil. Say I attack into their Yamato, and they drop Crane. I won't die, Chimera triggers, and I swing again. They drop a second Crane, so their ATK returns to 3600, then back to 1800 after damage calc as the effect of Clad is activated and not continuous. Clad can now trgger again.
