Therrion
Why not. So, I am suffering from a major case of my mind saying "F u" when I was going to go to sleep (5 hours ago) and still can't sleep, so I began creating written cards for archetypes. While doing so, I was studying the small Umbral Horror archetype and I thought of something. Umbral Horror Ghoul has 1800 ATK and 0 DEF. By reducing the ATK to 0, he can Special Summon a 0 ATK Umbral Horror. Drewes the Unseen Druid, 1800ATK and 0 DEF, can Summon a Lv. 4 DARK from the Graveyard with either 0 ATK or DEF. Drewes and Ghoul have the same stats, and can Summon other monsters that share atleast 1 common stat--- perhaps that could be a hint. Perhaps Konami is trying to make some archetypes prepared for the next big Monster Type or something, of which will function off of similar stat values (foresight, ya know, what they didn't do with Mind Control and apparently this entire format). Now, of course, this is a common go to for card makers looking to create a new type of monster, but it seems like the most likely next move, and the above isn't the only example but moreso a prominent example that was put in my attention not too long ago (literally less than 10 minutes ago). Your thoughts? Go ahead, I'll hear you out. Of course, there is no way of knowing, which also means you can't straight up deny my theory, but you can't really agree with it. Just state your theory. Do you believe the next shift of Extra Deck/Monster/Whatever will be one that functions off of similar stat values? Will there even be another one (pfft, like they wouldn't keep milking YuGiOh!). Azuh
I would actually prefer Konami to reinvent LV monsters, making them summonable from the Extra Deck. We've already had some awesome Fusion-esque type card already with Synchros and Xyz, but I would love something that makes the single monster become its true boss
