During either player's turn, you can discard this card to target 1 face-up Effect Monster your opponent controls; negate the effect(s) of that target until the End Phase. During either player's turn, you can discard this card to negate the activation of an "Ice Barrier" synchro monster's effect and send that card to the graveyard. If you negate an effect this way: neither player can summon monsters with the same name as that card until the end of your opponent's 3rd turn after this effect's activation.

I HATE trishula, its so hard to defend against since it doesn't target or destroy the stuff it gets rid of, and its banished my ace cards a few too many times!

edit: sorry, I was in a very bad mood already when I posted that.

edit2: I have had this card on my hard drive since the last format where trish was legal at least

edit3: There was this one funny time where I used it on something that wasn't brionac or trishula, that was funny!

The card is far too conditional and absolutely trash. It is also Veiler of, which means I expected Ice Barrier Support, not hate, which it didn't need. Plus, Veiler stops Trishula perfectly fine, as does any effect stopper/Summon negater/CED (one of the materials prior to Synchro). I mean, there are many answers, and this isn't really one that is needed.

It seems unrealistic as a whole, and more so (and is, as you've stated) a result of dislike/hatred toward a single (or multiple, if you hate Brionac also, which is actually understandable) card--- which is hardly ever good card design.
