Monsters underneath a "Glory Element" are still treated as cards on the field, but neither as a Monster, Spell, or Trap Card and they also cannot be used (to attack or use their effects and permanent effects of those "monsters" are not applied). Therefore, cards and effects (like Raigeki-Break and Phoenix Wing Wind Blast) that target only "cards" on the field can still target and apply effects on those "monsters". Cards that destroy "all cards on the field" (like Judgment Dragon or Black Rose Dragon) can still destroy all those monsters of a pile in 1 wipe. However, cards that target explicit "Monster Cards" or "Spell and Trap Cards" cannot be used to target or destroy those cards. Also effects that "destroy all monsters on the field" only afffect the top Glory Element; the others stay in play as the last line of them state.

So, I have had a lot of fun making my cards and may or may not have carried it all into a boss monster that is entirely made up. Is this okay or should I go repurpose another oldie-but-goodie?

If you look at Malefics, they have a boss that isn't based on any previous card, so go ahead.

So this archetype is called "Paradox Body" is something generated by the following things, along with subliminal influences:

-the Malefic archetype

-desire to revive old Ritual cards

-love of the Fiend-type

 

The mythology justifying the 'retrained' aspect of this set of cards is that the monsters of this set are different versions of existing monsters from an alternate timeline that has collided with our own, spilling the group over in the process. The original cards are referenced in the effects of the retrained cards. Those cards outside the internal spoiler are the rest of the archetype. Sorry that they aren't spoilered; I'm having trouble with getting that to happen for some reason.

 

Anyway, the goal here is to Special Summon the main monsters by banishing their existing Ritual counterparts from the Deck. They can then banish the usual Ritual card accompanying that monster to gain another effect. The added effects typically focus on the destruction of other cards. Without further ado, here they are!
