2 Level 7 EARTH Monsters
Once per turn: Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Your opponent discards 1 card from their hand. Its effect cannot be activated.

The main purpose of this card was to give Redox Gadgets another card to go into that isn't Big Eye or Draccosack. One of the big things I thought about when making this card was the Dark World match-up, and letting your opponent discard cards would help them, which gave me the idea of negating the effect when it is discarded. Whether I got the OCG right or not, I do not know, you guys can be the judge of that. So please CnC, give your thoughts and opinions!

I think, at this moment, E-Drags would still prefer to go into Draccosack or Big Eye than this, mainly because they're more devastating right on the moment they're dropped. With this, you just have a puny discard that they're just going to either fetch back next turn, or Banish it for something better.

 

The requirements are a bit specific, which makes it kind of hard to use. The only way to really go into this is with Redox, and even then, that just seems like a huge waste, considering all you get out of it is a 3200 DEF that can discard your opponent's hand twice.

 

I get that the card was made to fight against Dark Worlds, but with the way they set themselves up, they'll just draw into their next combo piece the turn afterward. If it permanently negates the effect while that card is in the Graveyard, though.....that's a different story. THEN it might actually be viable.

 

Anyways, OCG fix time.

Yeah I agree with Arin, it's far too easy for Dark World to recover from such a play... Permanently negating their effect would be a much better way to approach it.

 

(I really hate playing against Dark World, the opponent constantly spits out 2300+ ATK monsters which are further powered up by the Field Spell). Bah.

The point wasn't to counter Dark World, but to discard a card from the opponent's hand, but this card would be dreadful against the previously mentioned deck, so I decided to have the effect negate so they don't plus off the discard.

 

Would you guys like it a lot more if I change it to make it more of a threat in the battle phase?

I appreciate the fix and the explanations. I haven't been card making and/or playing yugioh for a while so it is nice to regain some of my knowledge again. I will change it once I get an opinion on the other topic I brought up about this card.

The card is a great idea and the picture is great (P.S were did you get it?) the OCG is not so good, so here is the fix:

 

                                                              2 Level 7 EARTH Monsters. 

 Once per turn: You can Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Your opponent discards 1 card from their hand, and Its effect cannot be activated.

Honestly, I don't really like the fact that this card just sit there making some funny pose when your opponent can just accumulate card advantage easily, since by summoning this, you should have used your resource that can be used for something like battling. Pure defensive card with no protection effect or that can replace itself, especially with a non-generic condition, doesn't really feels like a good investment in a game. Also, the fact that Blackship of corn/Papilo laughs at this makes everything worse. I don't think the last effect is needed. It's a specific counter to one-two decks, that doesn?t even really work. At this point, any generic 2 material rank 7s are better than this.

Honestly, I think you could make it generic.  It's not really so busted or abuses a certain mechanic so much that the average level 7 deck would break the living fuck out of it.

 

I also recommend that you give it like 19-25 ATK so that it can go on the aggressive if need be.
