Jirachibi
1 "Blackwing" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Cannot be destroyed by battle, and you take no Battle Damage frombattles involving this card. At the end of the Damage Step, if this cardattacked a monster: You can place 1 Wedge Counter on that monster (max. 1). You can remove all Wedge Counters from your opponent's monsters; the ATK and DEF of those monsters that had Wedge Counters become 0 until the End Phase. Only reason i run Breeze in my Blackwing deck. Gets over stuff and can stall a bit. I like it, Discuss
Pepperyena
Pretty reliable, albeit slow, method of removing individual monsters. That 2500 ATK is pretty decent, as well, especially when you needn't worry about being destroyed by battle. I like this guy. I know y'all are talkin' about blackwings being the next meta, but there's another Synchro-based deck in the same era capable of taking out almost all of your opponent's backrow, too. NoshpalStefan
I personally don't like people getting too hyped over this guy. He's not that hard to get over. The "being impervious to battle" argument is kind of useless in today's meta. Yes, a lot of the traps were hit, but we still have, and these are only the ones on my mind, Dimensional Prison, Mirror Force, Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, Sakuretsu Armor (Don't Laugh) and many others. I personally think he's decent, but nothing special.
:^)
Fiendish Chain and then what will he do. Multitudes of cards that can stop it from working.
vla1ne
even if there are cards that can get around him, as far as monsters go, he's still a solid card that deserves the respect. 2500 is a pretty decent atk. and unless he gets answered on the turn you summon him, he'll still be worth the effort because he can at least get a good hit in. not to mention you can always drop a kalut with him, you usually wouldn't expect it seeing as he can't be killed by battle. Sora1499
Well if you used Master Key Beetle's effect on him...? That is brilliant. OT: Pretty solid synchro. Back in the day, I used to think he was insanely broken, but he really isn't. There are enough ways to get over him in today's game that he's fairly balanced. Daigusto Sphreez
Good, but not amazing. Marshmallon cannot be destroyed by battle, but no one is raving about him. Most decks have so many cards that can get past the destroyed by battle clause that this card, whilst good, is never going to be the most reliable choice. Not while your opponent has a hand anyway. If a card doesn't have some sort of inbuilt protection, it should at least give you some hand advantage or search, or a very niche extra deck go-to against certain decks effect. This card has none of the aforementioned. Its a good beatstick, but it needs support or it'll be gone before you know it.
ihop
You'll only really ever want to make 1 anyway, just use the Gale to make it. Regardless it's a very solid card and with Lance/Key Beetle you can keep it alive like you couldn't when Blackwings were first meta. The only issue nowadays is Big Eye. evilfusion
Why would you use Master Key Beetle on this? All you're doing is making a 2500 beater unable to die by effects OR Battle, but in its place, you put an enormous bulls-eye on a 2500 beater that CAN die by battle or card effects, because to save itself, it'd have to send Armor Master to the Graveyard, and if it doesn't save itself...you have a 2500 beater that can't be destroyed by battle. It just seems like a wasted investment. Key Beetle may be another wall of defense for Armor Master, but now you need ANOTHER layer of defense to protect Key Beetle so that it can protect Armor Master. You're trying too hard at that point.
