Letters from a Friend

Spell Card

Activate if you control exactly 1 face-up monster by paying 1000 life points. Add a monster from your deck to your hand with the same type and level as a monster you control to your hand. You cannot conduct your battle phase the turn you activated this card. You can only activate 1 "Letters from a Friend" per turn.

OCG Fix

This card can only be activated when you control exactly 1 face-up monster by paying 1000 Life Points. Add 1 monster from your Deck to your hand with the same type and level as the monster you control. During the turn you activate this card you must skip your Battle Phase. You can only use the effect of "Letters from a Friend" once per turn.

Hmm, I see. So I take the card itself is fine?

Anyway, should I account for the possibility that this card gets activated by other card effects(such as Diamond Dude, or Anime!Sebek)? Since, with the wording, it can cause some confusions when you activate this with those effects when you control more than 1 monsters.

Sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to get across. Can't you only activate this card when you control exactly 1 monster?

Diamond Dude doesn't care about the costs or conditions of Spell Cards if you activate his effect; just as long as that Spell Card still exists in the Graveyard the next turn when his effect can go off, the Spell will be played regardless of costs and/or conditions. It's what makes the aforementioned cards (Burst Stream) work, regardless if you have 3 Blue Eyes on the field or not.

And if that's what you were going for, remember that searching is a dangerous mechanic in and of itself. When used by itself, it's fairly tame, as it gives you another way to search out your combo pieces (NS Phalanx then this to search out another one, then ditch it for CoC/Ravine to draw 2/Add Dux) before then going into Mysteltainn. All it really says though is "Add 1 of the same card you control from your Deck to your hand", and while it has the capability of searching out boss monsters (which I really don't like), it's a nice little card with a few restrictions that make it completely absurd (except for the fact it can search out Grapha/Hyperion/Mysteltainn/E-Drags (dear god)/insert X boss monster here).
