heraldry_lord
Synchro Change Normal Spell Card Remove from play 1 face-up Synchro Monster you control. Special Summon 1 Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck whose Level is the same as the removed monster's. Its effect(s) is negated. With the upcoming Xyz Shift in Legacy of the Valiant, I figured I'd make a thread about the Synchro version. Xyz Shift lets the Xyz it Summons keep its effects, attack and be used for whatever. Also, the card's cost Tributes instead of banishing, which allows you to potentially use the Tributed Xyz for other things later. This, on the other hand, banishes a Synchro for its cost, which is a problem unless you can effectively use cards like Psychic Feel Zone, although one particular Synchro (Angel of Zera) actually likes being banished, which means you can get a Synchro beatstick + Zera. It also makes the Summoned Synchro into a glorified beatstick. However, Xyz Shift sends the Xyz it Summons to the Graveyard during the End Phase, and it's restricted to Type and Attribute, while this card is not. If you examine Synchro Change by itself, there really isn't much reason to use it, since the Synchro you're Summoning can't use its effects, unlike Xyz Shift which can potentially give you access to the the effects of something like Photon Alexandra Queen, but the Synchro can still attack and be used for Synchro/Xyz/Tribute Summons, if that counts. An upside to this card is that it can exchange a Synchro you have out for a stronger (in terms of stats) Synchro of the same Level. For example, you can exchange a weak Drascension (which is currently the easiest Level 10 Synchro to bring out) for a Decisive Armor/Blade Blaster/Shooting Star Dragon/Aesir/Majestic Dragons/Malefic Paradox Dragon. Another example is changing Mist Wurm/Trishula into a Naturia Leodrake after their effects are used up.

heraldry_lord
Use it on Angel of Zera? Wow I forgot about him, but in my defense, he's relatively new. Imma add him to the OP.

This is true D: still sounds like a neat idea for a deck. Imma think of something.
