Therrion
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can discard 1 card; draw 1 card, then place 1 Spell Counter on a face-up Spellcaster-Type monster you control. If this card was Special Summoned, it gains the following effect. * Once, while this card is face-up on the field: You can remove 1 Spell Counter from a monster you control; return 1 card on the field to the top of the Deck. Sleepy
It is looking pretty good. It has moderated draw power, and it's discard effect is casually interesting even though I probably wouldn't see this card in Dark Worlds xP I never quite found a way to make decent Spell Counter Decks that did not try to go for an FTK, so I can only think Breaker. This is a risky idea, but makes me think it'd be interesting if it was a Rekindling target. I mean, it's not like Lavals and Flamvels can use it anyways because it needs already face-up Spellcasters with a Spell Counter on to work. Unless Breaker, there really isn't much material that's splashable enough. Though, forgetting that risky thought, the card is pretty solid and I can't see much abuse out of it. It was a smart move to make it only be able to remove the Spell Counter from a Spellcater-Type monster instead of any face-up card with a Spell Counter on. It balances the Chidori-like effect, but not to a point where you won't benefit from it.
Therrion
Thanks for the comment. Breaker does come to mind, but Exemplar could Summon it via her effect. Other then that, sadly, there aren't much options. Refueling a Defender is one, but that is lackluster as a whole. I was considering making it Rekindable, but wasn't sure on it. I thought it'd be interesting to Rekindle it and get the effect off, well deserved considering you need an already alive source with Counters on it, before doing some Xyz/Synchro plays. So, should I change the DEF? I always feel like its forced design to give a FIRE monster 200 DEF.
Sleepy
Ummm this card doesn't complement any of the already existing Rekindling themes. That'd be a plus to me. It'd work with Rekindling but be it's own thing. I wonder how much abuse it'd be able to do though. Examples of plays would be: Start bringing this out with Summoner Monk and then dropping another one with Lavalval Chain for setup. Or Normal Summon her and do the discard+draw+Counter before reviving the second copy. Or Exemplar + any other Spell before Rekindling = Any Rank 4 gains a Chidori effect. That's the most worrisome bit. I don't know how consistent it'd be, but it sounds risky if let loose out there. I'd use Magician's Circle for her, and Magical Dimension, although not exactly made stronger, now you'd be given the option of Spell destruction or Effect Monster returning something, which has casual tactical value. Umm no. I think on second thought it's good as is. Why change something that's already very well made?
Therrion
Honestly think before any dynamic plays can be made with her, Spell Counter support would need a nice boost. Exemplar with Rekindling would be the best, if you had at least 2 of these in Graveyard, but I think it'd be well deserved, especially considering Rekindling would be random in a Spellcaster Deck, though I agree it is fine as is.
