Phantasmal Illusion set (Last update for this thread)

These are the last cards of the thread. there are more in total, but I plan on making this the last of the ones I upload for at least a few weeks. So expect a new more organized thread once I polish these up and finish the rest.

 

It's been fun, but the first line of cards has finally come to an end.

Thanks to Infinite✰Rainbow for checking them before release and also making some of them as well. I didn't upload some of the ones he already made, but expect to see all of them in the next thread.

When this card is Summoned, if you control no other monsters: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Phantasmal Illusion" monster from your Hand. When This card is Sent to the Graveyard by an opponent's Card effect; You can add 1 "Phantasmal Illusion" Monster From your Deck to your hand.

When this card is Sent to the graveyard for A Synchro Summon; Target 1 "Phantasmal Illusion" monster in your Graveyard except "Phantasmal Illusion BuzzMurk" and Return it to your Deck.

This cards Attribute is also treated as DARK while it's face up on the field or in your Graveyard.  2 "Phantasmal Illusion" monsters + 1 Machine-type monster
This card cannot be destroyed by your opponents card effects. As long as this card remains face-up on the field all face-up monsters become Machine-type monsters. Once per turn you can pay 500 Life Points to add 1 Union monster from your Graveyard to your hand.

Hmm, I do think the names can be done in a better way, since SMT Fairy XXXXX sounds a bit weird and doesn't makes that much of a sense. Anyway, BuzzMurk second effect might need some buff since it doesn't warrant the effect to be only usable once per turn(Also, the first effect does not activate, so you can SS then synch for a recycle) , and Beelzecap-RozenFly-Buzzmurk for a level 7 Synch sounds like a good combo. Still, I hope the rest of the archetype has an unique playstyle other than spam and searches. Ah, last thing. May I help you with this set? This is really interesting, and I hope I can participate in this.

Sure, the main Issue I had with this set was making a unified theme. these three are the only ones with fairy in their names because they're 3 nameless fairies. I was planning on making these 3 the foundational support for the rest of the deck, and since there were so many images I had to think of which ones to use as generic effect fodder.

 

These are the basics of the set. the rest will have better effects than this. and if you want to help, I can send you the outline of the monsters that I have so far.

I'm trying to think of a good name that would represent the two series that the images are based on. shin megami tensei, and touhou. I'm probably going to edit these 3 later on to fit in when I figure one out. also, there aren't any other generic fairy monsters in the set. these are the only 3.

Beezlecap needs change to be considered balanced, because as it is you can potentially:

 

Normal Beezlecap -> Effect for Beezlecap to Special another Beezlecap

Beezlecap was Summoned -> Effect for Beezlecap to Special another Beezlecap

Beezlecap was Summoned -> Effect for Beezlecap to Special Rozenfly

Pay 500 with Rozenfly for Buzzmurk

 

So beezle either needs to be only when it is Normal Summoned or needs to exclude itself from its effect.

 

Other than that I am interested to see the road this goes in.

His effect states that you have to control no other monsters to use his first effect, meaning that you would likely only get the effect once per turn unless you Special summon him and he somehow dies off by an opponent's card effect, in which case your opponent likely didn't read its effect before killing it.

Well now that that is settled, it seems to be very balanced based on what you have so far, though I agree that BuzzMuck needs some beef.

Illusionary Shadow? Gensokyo is the land of illusions after all. But, try not to stay too much on either side of the series, else this'll get moved to Pop-culture.

 

Yes, there are. a total of 5 generic fairies, and some other mooks are in the set.

I remember them now, the sunflower and the soul fairies right? I made those 2 level 5+ XYZ support instead of level 4 and below Synchro support. I'll go get those 2 up now... Or later... Dear god I'm lazy...

Well now that that is settled, it seems to be very balanced based on what you have so far, though I agree that BuzzMuck needs some beef.

I removed the restriction, so now it works faster and should be ok without a boost.
