I Hate Snatch Steal
When you would take effect damage, inflict half that damage to your opponent, instead. When this card battles a monster, during damage calculation: Halve the ATK and DEF of that monster, until the 2nd Standby Phase after that battle.
- Mirror magician's damage redirecting effect doesn't start a chain, it cain also redirect effect damage that doesn't use the chain. - Mirror Magician's damage redirecting effect is only applied if mirror magician is face-up and its effect is "active" (not negated) when a damage inflicting effect resolves or when non chain using effect damage would be applied. - If both players control a "Mirror Magician" all effect damage becomes 0, since its halved down to nothing. - Controlling Multiple Mirror Magicians has the same damage redirecting effects and rulings as just controlling 1. - The ATK halving effect counts both your and your opponent's standby phases. - When determining the ATK and DEF of a monster that has been affected by mirror magician's ATK and DEF halving effect, calcuate all other changes, then divide the result accordingly. For example, if command knight is battled while its increasing its own ATK, its ATK is (1200 + 400) / 2 = 800 - If mirror magician's ATK and DEF halving effect has been applied to a monster, and then it is applied agian before 2 standby phases have passed, the ATK and DEF of that monster are 1/4 of what they would be and so on. - Each instance of halving a monster's ATK and DEF "expires" independenlty of all other instances. For example, if mirror magician attacks blue eyes white dragon, and on the next turn blue-eyes attacks it. BEWD's ATK is 750 after the 2nd battle until the next Standby Phase, then its 1500 until the Standby Phase after that (assuming no additional "stacking" of the effect that turn). If you still have rulings questions after reading this, ask away.
