Gang Wars

This is more just to discuss gangs and gang wars in general, but I'm bringing up because of the local headlines where I live.

 

Apparently, there's a war going on in the projects of downtown Wilmington, NC. The two sides name themselves the Bloods and the Crips. They each have their own remote territory, both of which are majorly southeast of the downtown area.

 

From what I heard from the guys at work, the Bloods have a certain way of recruiting members. Basically, the potential members must drive with their headlights off in the area, and if they get flashed by someone telling them to turn them on, that's their target; the driver and everyone in the same vehicle. They have to kill them.

 

Another thing brought up was the conspiracy that involved one cop being killed every day as an act of vengeance for cops killing one of their members.

 

This just creeps me the hell out, but most if not all of the criminal acts usually occur at night. But still, things are so batshit insane that I wouldn't go downtown just to take a stroll. Heck, he locals are keeping their children from playing outside because of this. I don't blame them one bit.

That whole recruiting thing is bullshit.  Bloods and Crips do special shit but nothing that crazy.  I mean think about it, Bloods and Crips are facets of any major city, or any city that has some sort of rough downtown area.  They're a huge gang, if they were doing that shit niggas would be literally dying left and right.

 

Gang wars are real though, and very scary indeed.

It was just a rumor, but the police duty in the downtown area has doubled if not tripled. And even if it is bullshit, you can't be too careful.

I live in New York City, and I've honestly never ran into any trouble with gangs nor have I heard much related to their activity that's got any actual legitimacy to it.

 

Gangs aren't as much a threat or danger as people perceive them to be, most of the time they're just killing one another, I highly doubt they've any interest in murdering random civilians.

Besides, why kill random civilians to become an initiate when you can just kill a person from a rivaling gang? Two birds, one stone. Also, since we're on the topic of killing two birds with a stone, who in the fuck conceived that in the first place? What's the purpose in killing a single bird with a stone, why must he go for two? And why two with a single stone? Why not give the birds some fucking dignity, last I checked there's a fucking surplus of rocks in the world. Never mind the gang members, the guy out there barraging innocent birds with stones needs to be fucking dealt with.
