VictorSempra
Probably one of my favorite cards, even if it's old-school. With all the love that Blue Eyes gets, I would hope they'd come back and re-visit this, give it some more archetype love. (Even printing some of the anime cards would be better, he has some pretty cool ones.) Thoughts?

Stan Alda
There's very little to discuss. It's a 2-tribute vanilla with less ATK than Summoned Skull, as stated before. Its derivatives (B. Skull, Metal, Meteor) are little better. Darkness Metal is a good card, but it doesn't need Red-Eyes to function, so it's a different subject. Why bother discussing vanillas at all, anyway? What are we going to do, talk about their totally broken fluff?

The un-printed Anime crap, the small amounts of love via Red Eyes Chick and Inferno Fire Blast, all the love Blue Eyes gets vs. this card...DISCUSS IT. We're not talking card design. And even so, just posting "Terrible, next" shows you're just being a post-whore, in which case just don't post at all and let this die off. newhat
I can think of a single valid use: Summon the Malefic into Escape from the Dark Dimension for a -1 Rank 7 play. Basically everything that can be done with this card can be done easier with a Dragon Ruler.

evilfusion
Blue-Eyes gets love because of Kaiba's popularity, and that it has been the strongest Normal Monster since the very beginning of the game. Almost everything that supports Red-Eyes can support Blue-Eyes, and that's why Red-Eyes falls short, to say nothing of Blue-Eyes' other support. Being a Normal Monster does Red-Eyes no favors. Again, because of Blue-Eyes. Blue-Eyes is Level 8 and has Trade-In, Red-Eyes is Level 7 with...Sword of the Seven Stars, which banishes it. Red-Eyes' fusions require Meteor Dragon (horrible) or Summoned Skull (why are you running this?). Or you can use a Fusion substitute and use Meteor B. Dragon and only that. Red-Eyes' best trick is with Inferno Fire Blast. And 2400 burn may hurt, but when that's the best specific support you've got to offer, you're going to get forgotten. Red-Eyes Darkness (not Metal) is badass, but you require dedication to use it well, and it can be a dead draw often.
Jack of the Lantern
Red-Eyes has always been an inferior card. Blue-Eyes and even Dark Magician have more power in both ATK and DEF, and Dark Magician has many ways of getting to the field. He is weaker than Summoned Skull but with 1 more Tribute. Summoned Skull also has way more support in the form of Archfiends. There really is no reason to use it, and never has been other than "I wanna use it because coolness". What it needs is support. I don't think it's condition is unfixable. Normal Monsters in general need more support. Meteor Dragon and Black Skull Dragon are both good beatsticks, but need a way to make more consistent. I don't wanna see a Maiden with Eyes of Red though. Red-Eyes can't really compete even with other unused vanillas like:

goddamnit names are a pain
I think REDMD gives this card a bad name (not really related, terribly OP, blah blah blah). REDD is awesome though. Won me many games (years ago, at home) due to his attack going insanely high up and my opponent never owning a mirror force (back then, mirror force was harder to get). I think RED could easily have a Synchro made, though not many people would play it. Red Eyes Chick is used instead of Kaibaman, and Red Eyes Wryvern ( I think that's his name) can also summon this card. Red Eyes Chick should be redone as a tuner. =

Meanwhile, REBD got a bunch of random stuff that in most cases, just happens to share a name with it, like Wyvern and Zombie. They didn't even print REBD's Ritual/Paladin monster, for cryin out loud. Loup-Garou
Take off a level and it would be rather effective in a Chaos Hieratic deck.
Mugendramon
Lily had a silly Red Eyes Meteor Black Dragon Hieratic deck at a point. I wonder what she did with it.
Miror B
Take off a level and it would be rather effective in a Chaos Hieratic deck. Enabling Rank 7 plays is the only reason it's ever even run in Hieratics (should they want it) right now though :/

Skull Knight #2
I'm just dissapointed they didn't reprint it with the AWESOME art. Yeah, that one. Yeah, I would've thought the mortals over at Konami would've been nice enough to let us have this art, rather than the one we got. Although I suppose it was to be expected given that we didn't get anime-art Dark Magician in LC03.
玄魔の王
I don't know why Konami doesn't like this card, but it's ridiculous when you consider this has had not one but two prominent anime users and is STILL neglected.

Right? Blue Eyes is getting work, Galaxy Eyes is getting work, but no love for the Red Eyes. It has a Ritual "Paladin" too, that never got printed. Even White Stone, compared to Chick, is immensely more loved.
