Pyrosphere Phoenix + Ritual Spell

pretty lackluster to he honest, although you get bonus points for not making any where near as many OCG (original card grammar, a lack or errors or "good ocg" means that your wordings sound like they came from a real card) errors as most new members do.

 

Onto the cards, Phoenix Resurrected is a standard ritual spell so there is not much to say about it, I'd personally have called it "Phoenix Resurrection Ritual"  but that's just me. How good it is depends on how good pyrosphere phoenix is.

 

On that note, Pyrosphere phoenix is a good concept, but the execution needs improvement because as is it isn't worth summoning at all. If its in attack position, your opponent will destroy it with an effect, but if its in defense position, your opponent will just attack it with something. That's without even considering cards that get rid of monsters without destroying them. I'd just change that effect to "This card cannot be destroyed by effects" thus dropping the part about battle positions. I don't understand the special summoning effect because I don't know where it summons itself from since you didn't to specify that on the card. For the purposes of this review I'll assume you meant the graveyard given that your card is a phoenix. Also, by one time only, do you mean "Once per duel"? eg glow-up bulb? http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Glow-Up_Bulb Assuming that that's what you mean't, the effect would read something like "You can pay 1000 life points; special summon this card from your graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Pyroshere Phoenix" once per duel." If my assumptions are right, then the special summoning effect is fine as is, it just needs to be worded better.

 

Good for a new member, keep it up! You certainly did better then I did on my very first cards or close to that.
