Striker Posted November 10, 2013 Report Share Posted November 10, 2013 Discard 1 Level 4 or lower monster; Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard with a Level equal to or lower than the discarded monster, except the discarded monster. You can only activate 1 "Angel of Retribution" per turn. When I first started working on this idea, it looked like another Monster Reborn. With that in mind, I worked on it more and got this. I imagine I overlooked something, but I looked at a lot of different methods to make this card before deciding on this one. Yes, I was going for generic revival; however, I felt that it being a -1 revival with it just reviving monsters in your own Graveyard would be fair enough. So, CnC? Was this the reply: Discard implies from the hand, so that is not needed. Can you elaborate on that? goddamnit names are a pain Posted November 10, 2013 Report Share Posted November 10, 2013 The only real problem I see is that we can revive things like BLS and The Three Egyptian God Cards. Sure, the latter has a defect, but I could send useless cards to summon some rather OP ones. I get that the point is revival, but Monster Reborn is banned for a reason. Not to mention Dragon Ruler Spam would be atrocious, if I understand correctly. I would (not relating to Dragon Rulers) negate the effects of the monster summoned. And Monster Reborn is +0 revival, I was going for -1 revival. I considered Monster Reborn when making this, and I took whatever precautions that I could make.
