The Warden
A card I just remembered Keepers had. With the rise of both Shaman & Necrovalley Shrine, could this card possibly see more play?
vla1ne
Not sure about you, but I see this card in almost every Gravekeeper deck I face. I assume it'll see a rise in value, but either way, It already sees more than enough play where I live.
newhat
Bleh. It doesn't really mesh with Gravekeeper's playstyle. Not a bad card, but I'd rather have something defensive on my side than this.

newhat
It's essentially chainable monster reborn, why wouldn't you use it? Because Gravekeeper's don't need that and don't gain huge benefits from it. As far as I know; could be wrong given the new support.

Even without new support, RoS is a free Special Summon that's immune to the key card of the deck, It's practically a staple in most Gravekeeper builds since it summons any Gravekeeper from grave for no cost. evilfusion
It's a very solid card for Gravekeepers, but they might prefer a different style. I remember using this in an ancient Gravekeeper Burn Deck that was constantly going through Gravekeeper's Curse and Cannonholder. This was back in like...2006. 玄魔の王
Believe it or not, under certain situation I prefer this to Stele, because I've had games where that 2nd GK just isn't hitting the Grave. It's also Chainable, and given Shaman is LV6 returning her to the field is far more preferable than to hand.
goddamnit names are a pain
A card I just remembered Keepers had. With the rise of both Shaman & Necrovalley Shrine, could this card possibly see more play? I really hate the fact that GK get support cards that are immune to Necrovalley. I mean, doing things that help the type without being immune is fine, but immunity sucks. And this card is seen already, is it not?
evilfusion
Well, this was originally the only card immune to Necrovalley. Then they made Stele. And now it's a theme that no one can touch cards laid to rest in the Graveyard, except the ones who guard the tombs. And Gravekeeper's Chief is the monster that allows the Gravekeeper player to ignore Necrovalley. So there is definitely precedent to the theme already. Ironically, putting those two things together effectively means Gravekeeper's practice necromancy within their own tribe.

How else can they guarantee someone's watching the tombs forever? After all, they kill each other on a regular basis. Descendant kills Gravekeepers to kill other stuff. Visionary gives up Gravekeepers so he will survive. Chief only revives someone after they were sacrificed for him. Cannonholder uses them as fodder. Watcher gets rid of himself. Royal Tribute is a sacrifice of all monsters, including GKs...etc
