You do not pay fixed amounts of Life Points to activate Trap Cards.

edit: its not showing the correct lore on the card (it says "variable" where it should say "fixed") is anyone else seeing the wrong lore?

Rulings notes:

- This card's effect only applies to trap cards whose costs are always the same eg "Pay 1000 life points" NOT "Pay half your life points" or "Pay life points equal to the ATK of 1 face-up monster", ect. (eg seven tools of the bandit, NOT solemn judgment or Prideful Roar)

- Cards where you choose how much to pay like Wall of Revealing Light and Bark of Dark Ruler don't qualify for this card's effect.

- [I don't know if such a trap card exists, but] If a trap card lets you pay different amounts of life points to activate different effects, Trap Economics still qualifies for any chosen costs that are "fixed" as above.

edit: my that I meant something like "Activate 1 of both of these effects. *pay 500 life points; do something. *Pay 1000 life points; do something else" not a card like wall of revealing light.

So... you're saying I can use Wall of Revealing Light and declare a stupid number like 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000 and I'll have to pay no life points because this exists. Not saying it's broken, just funny.

There really is no reason to run this. No traps with fixed costs are currently viable.

I hadn't thought about wall or revealing light, but that would qualify under variable costs and not be covered now that I think about it.
