Tegen Toppa Gurren Lagann - Sorario Days Instrumental (Jazz Version)

Morning had dawned on the peaceful capital of Earth2: Atlas City. The mixture of humans and Theans filled the streets of the fair city, as they bustled around trying to get to where they needed to go. Wherever anyone went, the music of the latest band began playing. The upbeat melody carried its lovely tune to the ears of everyone who was within a radius of its melodic tune. It even carried off to the gate of the United Worlds Alliance, the U.W.A's HQ. However, those there...were not in a mood to be upbeat for the moment...

-Within the U.W.A's HQ-

Portal 2 OST - Reconstructing Science

"Any sign of him yet?"

"None yet sir...he went off radar."

"How does something like that just disappear?"

These responses were coming from the main control room of the U.W.A, as the members: human, Thean, and even the TheaBrids typed away at their respective computers. The tracking software for this specific target was unable to find the target...but how? All the Theans, Humans, and TheaBrids could easily be located in Atlas City with this software...but how could they not find their target?

A door opened as the Commander walked in, everyone standing and saluting him, before returning to work. "Updates on the status of the target?" he asked.

"Unfortunately, he has evaded our eyes. We're unable to locate him now." a voice, that came from a female Thean monkey.

This was not the report the Commander had hoped for. He sighed as he turned to his left, looking at the human standing beside him. "Rayleigh...I hate to ask to stop your research...but I believe its time we sent you in. We need this threat stopped now." the Commander said, awaiting Rayleigh's response.

-In Atlas City...the Alleyways-

"Well, another day...and it sucks even more." Aaron said, as he walked out of the small shack he snuck into, walking away from it quickly. "And yet again...we'll probably get cornered by those U.W.A members to join again..."

Don't be such a downer Aaron...I mean...we did come to Atlas City to get a better life! said the voice that only Aaron could hear, as his Thean Spirit: Axel materialized in front of him. Besides...not really anything those U.W.A people could really do for us.

Aaron chuckled a bit as they continued to walk, joining the crowd of civilians from Atlas City...no one truly knowing the danger that would make itself known...

Mikyuki Sighed as the day started. She was trying to find a specific target that evaded them. How did they lose his location? She was struggling to find out. Her cold eyes seemed to burn a hole through her monitor. She was trying everything she could to find her target. It was unfortunate for her. She was hoping that something could be done. Her fingers ran rampant across the keyboard, making loud clicking noises as she struggled to find a slight trace.

Miyuki stood up and decided she needed some water. She poured a small cup of water and took a sip, thinking about the current situation. It didn't matter how hard she tried, she couldn't find a way to track him. After getting angry with herself, she ended up freezing her cup of water. Miyuk took a few deep breaths before heading back to her computer, trying to do anything.

She continued researching what she thought was a lost cause. She frowned and looked to each side of her. It didn't seem like anyone had made progress. Letting out a sigh that formed a little frost on her computer she almost gave up. Since he last got away, he seemed to have vanished off the face of the earth. It wasn't until she heard the commander call up Rayleigh. She listened to the commander speak to him.

"Rayleigh...I hate to ask to stop your research...but I believe its time we sent you in. We need this threat stopped now."

Miyuke knew Rayleigh for quite some time. If anyone could do it, he could. However, she also felt that he would create quite a commotion. Miyuki also stood and approached the commander. "Sir, would it be alright if I also went? I firmly believe that the two of us can find him with ease sir!" She asked, showing her respects. Miyuki had worked with Rayleigh in the past. She felt it was time to step up their game.

The morning sky was a delight for the bundle of joy that was Grace Clementine. As per each day, she wore a very elegant and homely dress that gave off a lady-like air around her, and routinely found a new tea room in which she would try each and every tea, coffee, and other hot drinks that Atlas City had to offer. Today she found herself in a nice, small yet humble Italian-orientated café, and before her table along with her purchased copy of the city's newspaper, The Daily Atlas, was a nice cup of orzo, and a sweet shortbread biscuit. The espresso, caffeine-free no less, was simply scrumptious, Grace thought as she enjoyed her little adventure today. She let out a cute little hum of sheer satisfaction from the well made brew, and began to look through the paper for any openings for a job - she long dreamed to be a Critic for a Newspaper, and hoped she'd find herself lucky in the ability to give fantastic establishments the praise they deserved.

Sienna, on the other hand, was quite bored. The spiritual Thean rested against one of the struts in the café, keeping her ever-watchful eye for Grace and her safety. She clearly longed to test her mettle again, but tried to continue in finding solace by protecting the host that was Ms. Clementine. She stretched softly with a little purr of dissatisfaction as a foil to Grace. It made Grace chuckle, which prompted the Thean to question said laughter. Grace replied that Sienna looked quite malcontent with the situation, which Sienna somewhat affirmed by rolling her eyes to the notion. "I simply wish your 'adventures' were a bit more bold, Grace." Sienna murmured.

"Oh?" Grace questioned curiously. "Well, I guess we could do something more out there." With this Grace gave off a cute contemplative pout as she began to ponder, this face bringing a raised brow and a smile to Sienna, whom had no doubt what would come from Grace's mind might be not quite what she had in mind. Each idea Grace brought forth was shot down, from learning to tango to going out at night, clubbing in the underworld of Atlas City - Grace simply wasn't hitting the nail on what Sienna longed for: something to get the blood pumping and adrenaline rushing. Sienna simply felt like she was in a rut, and Grace was just a little too naive to realize it.

The night before in the capital of Atlas City, as with every other night, was lively - busy - as it should be. Ironically, the hum and bustle of Atlas equated to what people would call "tranquility" in other places. In a simplified sense, the everyday chaos of city living is what its inhabitants considered peace and tranquility to be. "Real" chaos would be if the activity ceased. But this metropolis will never cease, at least not while Shin Rayleigh has a say in it. This city is important to him; not only is it his home but it's also home to the headquarters of the U.W.A: the United Worlds Alliance. And Rayleigh would do anything to protect the U.W.A. Not because of any special relationships or endearing memories, but because of the research of the U.W.A.

While the members of the organization continued their research amongst other tasks straight through the night, Rayleigh had arrived back at his apartment for some well-deserved rest. He had been working on his research for nearly three days straight without so much as an hour of sleep. He would've continued if it wasn't for his superiors' orders. Despite his adverse feelings toward authority, Rayleigh still followed orders nonetheless. Unfortunately, his night was far from restful. As with most nights, he was plagued by nightmares of his parents' deaths. Flashes of horrific images coursed violently throughout his mind, causing him to twist and turn on his bed until he abruptly wakes. Sitting up, he panted hastily with a cold sweat running down his forehead.

A sleepless night quickly turned into a smoke and then a walk, and, with Rayleigh, that soon spiraled into him poring more hours into his research - his only peace, temporary as it may be. Once the morning came, Rayleigh took a cold shower, dressed, and ate his breakfast before heading back to HQ. Rayleigh held a respectable position within the U.W.A and, beyond that, he is recognized further for his skills in combat - virtually unrivaled. It wasn't long before he met up with the Commander, exchanged greetings, and made their way to their desired destination. Rayleigh acquainted himself only with the human members of the U.W.A but even then he kept to himself usually. As of late, the U.W.A has been spending a portion of its time in tracking down a certain individual.

Unfortunately, that individual has been rather elusive. Rayleigh hasn't been assigned to help in tracking that individual down and so he wasn't very knowledgeable of the situation. Which is why it came as a surprise when the Commander turned and asked Rayleigh to help in this assignment. "Yes, Sir. I'll need to be briefed on the details later." Rayleigh simply answered. It was then that Miyuki, a long-time associate of Rayleigh's, stepped up and asked to be a part Rayleigh's mission as well. Rayleigh didn't mind her assistance; after all, she passes the only requirement that Rayleigh needed in a desired teammate: she is human. But of course, this decision isn't for Rayleigh to make and, either way, he will complete the mission.

"The details right now are sketchy even to me, Rayleigh and Miyuki." the commander said, he walked out of the control room, with the two following behind. "All that is known is that the target is male, TheaBrid...and in possession of top secret documents that the U.W.A have been holding onto." he stopped as he turned back to the two. "I'm entrusting you two this mission...good luck to the both of you."
Aaron continued to move through the city, his hands shoved in his pockets, as he heard his stomach growling. He stopped as he looked around, seeing a Thean razorback maning a food cart, filled with so many breakfast items. And with no money, he was forced once again to resort to stealing...hey, scrapping up a job in a busy city like that was hard for him.

He slowly moved past the cart, before sneaking a few items into his pockets...however the Thean wouldn't let this go unnoticed.

"HEY! YOU LITTLE THIEF! I hop you got the money for that! Otherwise, I'm callin' the U.W.A!" he threatened. Oh the wonderful threats these sorts of people gave, Aaron always found it a bit funny.

Aaron remained silent as he basically flipped off the vendor and began to rush through the crowd, eating the breakfast items he snagged, running past the Italian-oriented cafe, as a few people ran after him, causing a ruckus.

Well...your getting your exercise for the day a bit early, Aaron. Axel chuckled as he floated right beside Aaron, floating backwards.

"Shut up Axel! I didn't see you do anything!" Aaron muffled, as he shoved his face with another bite.

Following the Commander outside of the control room, Rayleigh and Miyuki learned that even the Commander doesn't know much about this particular individual but finding him is of the utmost importance. He possesses classified documents of the U.W.A, meaning that he could potentially jeopardize the entire organization and the research they've done so far. Needless to say, this didn't sit well at all with Rayleigh. Anyone - Thean, TheaBrid, or human - who jeopardizes the research of the U.W.A is an immediate threat for Rayleigh and must be dealt with as swiftly as possible. Even despite the lack of necessary information, Rayleigh will find this individual and bring him and the documents back to HQ. As the Commander wished him and Miyuki luck on their assignment, Rayleigh saluted him and bid farewell. Rayleigh then turned to face Miyuki; as usual, his expression was stern and collected.

"Prepare your equipment and meet me at the alley behind the Alligator Club." Rayleigh directed.

The Alligator Club is an infamous and sleazy cocktail lounge located in the shadier part of Atlas City. Owned by the Thean crime boss, Don Crock, the Alligator Club is a cesspool of illegal, underground activity. Although in recent memory, ever since Don Crock was apprehended by the U.W.A, the activity taking place within the Alligator Club has dwindle significantly. Now it's the headquarters of a well-known information broker who goes by the moniker, "Watcher". On multiple occasions, Watcher has had the misfortune of being in the company of Rayleigh and, once again, it's time for Rayleigh to pay him another visit. This time in hopes of extorting information about the TheaBrid individual he and Miyuki needed to find.

It didn't take long for Rayleigh to make his way to the Alligator Club as he was already prepped to head out. Aside from his research, Rayleigh's occupation required a lot of field work and so Rayleigh came to work everyday prepared with the necessary equipment if he needed to head outside of the headquarters. Miyuki most like isn't far behind Rayleigh either. At the Alligator Club, Rayleigh was fortunate enough to catch Watcher standing near the back door; accompanied by two muscular dog Theans. They were most likely there for personal protection. Watcher also happened to saw Rayleigh as well and, unsurprisingly, was terrified of who he saw. "Crap, it's Rayleigh! You two, take care of him!" Watcher, a human standing at around five feet, eight inches and wearing a brown coat, instructed his guards.

Rayleigh didn't understand why Watcher needed to make this difficult for himself. He does realize what Rayleigh is capable of, right? Rayleigh needn't even draw his sword to take care of these two Theans. Hopefully, Miyuki would arrive on time and handle these two Theans before Rayleigh decides to take matters into his own hands.

Miyuki nodded as she listened  to the commander, and could tell that it was urgent just off his tone. Of course she knew it was bad, she had been researching it. Miyuki wasn't aware that Rayleigh was oblivious to the stolen documents however. After commander mentioned that part, she could tell Rayleigh had changed. She had only known Rayleigh for about 2 years, but she was aware he hated Theans and TheBrids. She never pressed him on it though. She never really talked to him, except a few times when it was necessary. Talking and communicating weren't her talents. Nodding in approval, she looked to then saluted him and left with Rayleigh.

"Prepare your equipment and meet at the ally behind the Alligator Club." He ordered. It was like him, dive straight into it. Miyuki nodded. She didn't usually bring her field equipment, mainly because the only field work she usually does is escort fugitives. She had her blade in her bag, folded into the dagger for easier transportation, but that was about it. She did not even waste a second. Making her way home swiftly, she swiftly changed into more appropriate garbs and made her way to the Alligator Club. She got there after Rayleigh. He was already there. She figured as much. In front of him, she saw 2 Thean dogs, acting like bouncers around a man that looked a little bit under 6 feet tall. She didn't recognize him, but if Rayleigh had come here to see him, then he must know something.

She heard the man yell out upon seeing Rayleigh and commanded his dog guards to attack. Miyuki was only about 50' away from Rayleigh. It wouldn't take her long to close the distance. She did not want Rayleigh to take matters into his own hands. She decided it was time to act.

"Rayleigh, I'll subdue the guards, you take care of what you need to with the man." She said, loud, but with an emotionless tone. It was typical of her.

Miyuki dashed forward holding her Frost's Edge in her right hand. Once che got within a close range, she sent the boomerang through the air, at a high speed. The allyway didn't offer much cover for the unfortunate dogs. However, Miyuki wasn't out for blood. These Theans weren't the target. After catching her blade, she stood for a moment. Miyuki closed her eyes, and the temperature in a 5 foot radius. Even with their fur coats, she doubted the Theans could resist the -15 temperature. The ground had a ring of frost where the temperature dropped. She hoped that this didn't hinder Rayleigh too much, but knowing  him he would be out of the ring in no time. She took of two of the blades on her deadly sharp boomerang and placed the edge in her bag, wielding the sickles like daggers. She was ready to keep them in place if need be.

"Your work has been excellent, Aquos. These 'humans', so helpless yet so helpful at the same time." These were the words emitted by the Sahuagin elder. His fishy face gave a pleased grin. He proceeded to give his half-human brethren a pat on the head. "Humans become smarter," the human-fish lass before him speaks, "Aquos kidnap less." "Exactly, that is why I am trusting you, Aquos Laguna, to venture into human territory... Of course, put this on to hide your identity," the elder hands over a navy blue cloak, "humans must not know about our existence." "Aquos understand. Aquos begin. Now."
A mysterious cloaked figure wandered Atlas City. This was when this figure noticed that a young man had stolen some food, and was being chased by an angry mob. "Humans really bad. Humans steal. Humans chase humans," the cloaked one muttered, "Aquos find humans interesting." She thought that it would be good to give chase. So the cloaked figure went near a passerby and asked, "what happen?"

As the two dog Theans neared Rayleigh with their somewhat impressive haste, Rayleigh simply stood still in an eerily calm manner; it felt as if he could explode at any moment. His imperturbable demeanor even caused the two Thean bodyguards to hesitate a bit. They wondered just what kind of human would stand motionless in their path like that. Is he too afraid to move out of the way? No, his expression doesn't show one bit of fear. It was obvious they didn't know the extent of Rayleigh's speed. They could be an inch away from Rayleigh and he would still evade their charge with ease. Furthermore, if Rayleigh decides to attack, the two dog Theans would be in trouble. Fortunately for them, Miyuki arrived just in time and told Rayleigh that she would deal with them.

This allowed for Rayleigh to turn his attention over to Watcher who was rushing to open the back door with his set of keys. Rayleigh relaxed his shoulders, freeing up all the tension in his torso muscles. Just as Miyuki finished creating the ring of frost, she could feel a calm breeze blowing through her long hair from behind her. Watcher was panting hard as he attempted to keep himself calm but it was already too late. The next thing he knew, a forearm came smashing into his chest, forcing him to collide with the wall hard. The impact caused Watcher to drop his set of keys onto the ground as he coughed vigorously to regain the air lost from his lungs. Rayleigh had reached him in a matter of seconds. As he regained his breath, Watcher looked up and stared into the cold, emotionless eyes of Rayleigh.

"L-Look, I'm not doing anything illegal-" Watcher attempted to reason with Rayleigh but the latter cut him off.

"I'm not here to arrest you." Rayleigh stated.

"Then what do you want from me?" Watcher asked.

"Information. That's what you do, right? Provide information?" Rayleigh asked in return.

"Well, yeah, but-" Once again, Watcher found himself being cut off by Rayleigh.

"My partner and I am looking for a TheaBrid, male, and he has in his possession classified documents belonging to the U.W.A. Where can we find him?" Rayleigh demanded.

"Y-Yeah, I heard of this guy! He's quite the elusive sight and, unfortunately, even I don't know what he looks like. But I can guarantee you that he's still in this city. He's currently hiding out in the community districts but not for very much longer. He's planning to sell the documents and then sneak his way out." Watcher explained.

With that, Rayleigh freed Watcher from his grasp and turned to face Miyuki who, by this time, had already subdued the two Thean guards. "It would appear that he barely knows anything. But at least we know the TheaBrid is still hiding out in the city and has yet to forfeit the documents. Miyuki, contact HQ and request a lockdown of any and all entrances into or out of Atlas. Then we'll need to head down to the community districts and search around. We don't want to alarm the TheaBrid so a search team won't be necessary." Rayleigh issued.

The door to the café was open, enabling Grace and Sienna to both hear the bellowing of the Thean about a thief. Grace was slightly worried, thinking about what kind of neighbourhood she was actually in for thief to happen so prominently, while Sienna kept on her toes. The spirit then brought Grace's attention to the both on the other side of her window booth, whom was flipping someone off, presumably the man who cried thief, while eating an assortment of breakfast items. Grace pouted as she took a mental picture of the boy - he seemed frail enough - and standing up and throwing her bag over her shoulder she glanced to her Thean.

"Looks like we've got some excitement after all."

Sienna was about to rebuttal, but then she thought for a moment. Firstly, if she knew Grace, when she had her mind set on something she'd not give up on it. Furthermore, Sienna was going to tell her how dangerous it was for her to pursue a thief, but if she was at threat Sienna would simply force her to transform and keep her safe. Plus, above all, Sienna has been so bored with the sheer time she's been doing nothing but visit shops after shops. With that in mind the Thean simply nodded and, along with Grace, began pursuit of the thief.

Sienna's sharp senses instructed Grace to keep pursuit of the boy, and once Grace got a glance of that ridiculously over-gelled spiky hair she knew she'd found him. With that she shouted out to him, "Hey, you, stop! Come back here and pay for those!" Sienna sighed, knowing this would do nothing but likely force the boy to flee, and make the chase even harder, but this was to be expected from the naive girl that was Grace!

"Hey, you, stop! Come back here and pay for those!"

"Crap! Another one on our tail??" Aaron asked, glancing over his shoulder...but was shocked to find the person calling: Grace. She was a young lady he had never encountered before in Atlas City. And he began to even slow down for a moment...had he not remembered the mob lead by the razorback Thean. "Crap, keep running!" he said, continuing to run, until he ducked into an alley...with a dead end.

Brilliant direction skills, bro. Axel smirked, rolling his eyes as he crossed his arms.

"Cool your fur, I got this!" Aaron said, as the the mob and Grace skidded to a halt, following down the alleyway. He took a deep breath and took a running start to the wall, as he scaled it to the middle of it. This would allow the young man to kick off the wall and grab the nearby metal stairs found in the alley. He simply climbed up it and then leapt off it, as he landed behind the mob. He turned around, waving good-bye, as he sent a smile Grace's way...before rushing out of the alleyway once more.

Miyuki listened to the information Rayleigh relayed. Nodding her head, she was about to pull out her phone when she heard something. Some people were sprinting and yelling off in the distance. Miyuki thought about it for a few seconds, then decided to do something.

"Rayleigh, do you hear that? I think we should investigate it a bit. Something feels a little...off about this matter. Ill still contact the commander and authorize a lock down, but something isn't right about that crowd." She spoke her mind to him. Then, she pulled out her cell and contacted Commander.

"Sir, we have learned he is still in the city and in possession of the documents. Could you lockdown the city until we apprehend him? Some commotion is happening near our location. I requested Rayleigh to inspect it, and I will arrive on the spot shortly."

After hearing her response, she took to the rooftop and went between them, creating bridges of ice. After she crossed the rooftops, one by one, and after crossing them, dissolved them. It wasn't long before she got to the scene. There was a boy who probably woke up and covered his head in whatever gel he could find, and went off for the day. Then, she noticed something peculiar about him. He was a Theabrid. She watched as he escaped the mob by nimbly leaping off a wall and placing himself behind them. She decided she would follow him for a bit, in secret(not stalker) and question him when he is alone. Being chased by a mob is a little...suspicious.

Rayleigh was uninterested in Miyuki's suggestion to investigate the sounds she heard further down the area. After all, it wasn't related to the investigation they were currently on. "Investigate that if you desire but keep an eye out for any suspicious TheaBrids. I'm heading a different way." Rayleigh responded. After that, Miyuki made her way onto the roof and headed towards the source of the commotion. Meanwhile, Rayleigh turned and headed towards the opposite direction but he was quickly stopped by Watcher.

"Wait a minute. I actually know something else about the individual you're looking for." Watcher proclaimed.

Rayleigh calmly turned his head around and stared at Watcher. "Tell me what you know and this time, tell me everything." Rayleigh warned before turning the rest of his body around and walking towards Watcher.

"T-The person you're looking for is a young man - around eighteen or nineteen. He's supposedly a lion TheaBrid so watch out for his Pryme Change. But most important of all, he's been causing a bit of petty trouble throughout the city." Watcher explained.

"You neglected to mention any of this before. You even told me you've never seen him. How do you know his approximate age?" Rayleigh questioned.

"I-I haven't seen him! But my contacts have. That's what they've been telling me." Watcher responded nervously.

Rayleigh gave a small pause before looking towards the direction that Miyuki headed off in. "You're suggesting I might find the TheaBrid in the commotion occurring several streets down?" Rayleigh asked.

"It's a possibility. That's everything I know. I swear." Watcher urged. Without another word, Rayleigh made his way onto the roof of a nearby building and began to follow Miyuki's trail. After he was gone from sight, Watcher breathed a sigh of relief and removed a cellphone from his coat's left-side pocket. Watcher hastily dialed a number and, after a small pause, began talking to the individual on the other end of the line. "I've managed to steer the U.W.A away from your trail for now but it's getting riskier to sell the documents with every second that passes so I suggest you hurry. Especially now since they put Rayleigh on the case." Watcher told his contact. After the brief conversation, Watcher broke his phone in half and threw the halves into a nearby trash bin.

At the instant Aaron glanced over to Grace, Sienna scowled. "Ha, I've seen his face, easy prey. That hungry thief is going to get what is coming for him." This brought a smirk to Grace for a moment. The idea of catching a crook was actually quite the exciting thing for her. It was very out of the norm, quite extraordinary for her to do something so action-packed and so bold. This may not have been the first taste she had ever had of the excitement of thrill, but by gosh it was the best one she'd ever been treated to in her life.

Grace, like the rest of the mob, halted as they managed to corner Aaron, however Sienna sensed something wasn't right. With a whisper under the guise of leaving Aaron to the mob, Grace began to move back away from the crowd, getting out through the back of them, muttering "I do wish we could've gotten him ourselves." However Sienna had sensed more of that. Aaron did not appear as a corned mouse, and with no other way but back Sienna's instinct was to get Grace to the back, away from the crowd, so if he had attempted to somehow double-back, Grace'd be in the optimum spot to continue and pick up the chase. Grace rubbed her head and sighed. "No good crook."

However, all of a sudden, she'd spotted Aaron land ahead of her, taking off again. Sienna gave herself a little victory fist pump, while Grace pouted and continued to bellow "Stop! Get back here, you criminal!" while doing her absolute best to keep up with Aaron, running as fast as she could through the masses of people in Atlus City. Eventually she'd pick up her pace enough to get into grabbing distance, and grab she did: Grace began to attempt to swipe Aaron's wrist with a grasp to stop hi running away, persistent on bringing him to justice.

"Stop! Get back here, you criminal!"

This was about the time that she gripped Aaron's wrist, as he skidded to a stop and turned quickly, yanking his arm away from Grace's hand. "Criminal? Hardly the case, miss." he said, as if thanks to the Earth2 gods or possibly the RP Master that it was a woman that stopped him. One of the only two he'd actually want to talk to. "What I was doing...was getting a quick bite to eat. Honestly have you not seen people who don't exactly have a cent with them trying to scrap up a living?"

Not known to Aaron, was that Grace's Thean Spirit was watching the conversation as she stood behind the young lady...however, Axel definitely noticed. Unfortunately, Axel decided not to tell his host that little piece of information. Mainly cause, the lion's senses began to kick in, believing that they were either being followed or watched...

Sad to say...it was exactly both.

Miyuki watched the boy, about 18-19, she couldn't tell his age. However, he had escaped the mob. Only 1 girl had remained to tr to catch him. Miyuki wished the girl would just disappear. The girl looked so sweet and innocent, it was hardly imaginable that she would be trying to bring the criminal to justice. Miyuki watched them talking for a bit and focused on their gestures, unable to make out what they were saying. She continued to watch, waiting for a moment she could find the thief that brought a whole mob, when she suddenly felt a presence. Miyuki swiftly turned her head behind her and saw Rayleigh, a little bit behind her.

"I thought you weren't coming." She stated, her usual tone-less voice. She peered back down to the two. Something was odd about the whole scene. The boy started perking. It was a little odd, and he seemed to be a little un-eased based off his body language. Miyuki drew her daggers. She was about to take "freeze" into w whole new level.

The chaos in the streets, the masses of Theans and Humans alike moving to and fro, were all somewhat comforting to a certain wolf Thean on the sidewalk.  His tenuous agreement with the U.W.A certainly had its advantages, namely that he could carry his armaments openly without fear of interference from the authorities.  His pale white fur was blown about ever so slightly by the breeze going down the streets, the claws on his feet clicking against the concrete.  His attire, antiquated as it was, certainly did attract attention from Humans and Theans alike as he passed but he paid them no mind and was furthermore left alone.  No one felt like challenging the eight foot wall of muscle with claws like meat hooks.

At least he thought that was the case, when a passerby happened to bump into him.  He would have confronted the fellow, were it not for the fact that Tharon Kane happened to notice the individual being part of a mob running in pursuit of an apparent human.  Well, were it not for the distinctive scent.  In moments Tharon was in pursuit himself, though he kept a ways away from the mob.  Best to find a potential opponent when they could be confronted away from interference.  To that end, he hung back when Aaron was apparently cornered, and leaped completely over the mob that had been pursuing him.  That brought a smile to the old wolf's face, and soon enough he was racing through the crowds after the fellow.

Imagine his surprise when he was beaten to the punch by a human woman.  At least she appeared human at first, and then another specific smell brought him to a stop.  Two TheaBrids?  Right here?  It was almost too good to be true.  He didn't even bother paying attention to their conversation as he approached.  This could really be one hell of a good fight, and he was far more than eager to engage in it.

As expected, Rayleigh arrived at the scene rather quickly; it took him less than a minute since Miyuki's arrival to make his appearance. Seeing Rayleigh making his way towards her position, she remarked that he said he wasn't coming. "Change of plans." Rayleigh replied as he looked down below in search of someone who fits the profile that Watcher mentioned. Aside from the crowd making their way to this area, there are two notable individuals: a male and female - both around the ages of eighteen or nineteen. It appears as if the female individual is confronting the male. "Is that the one who caused all of this commotion?" Rayleigh asked Miyuki, indicating the young man.

After a positive response, Rayleigh looked back at the young man. It can now be assumed that he is the individual they were searching for. "From what Watcher told me after you've left, it appears that the person there is the TheaBrid we've been looking for." Rayleigh told Miyuki. "We'll be bringing him back to HQ for questioning. And, just to cover all grounds, I've sent someone from HQ to trail Watcher. If he's lying to us then we'll know soon enough. But for now..." Rayleigh prepared to approach the young man. Suddenly, he noticed a figure in the corner of his eyes: a wolf Thean and he seems confrontational. It was best for Rayleigh and Miyuki to intervene now before the situation escalates any further.

"All of you stay where you are. I'm Shin Rayleigh of the U.W.A." Rayleigh announced his presence as per standard protocol and showed proof (be it a badge or some other form of identification) of his status. Rayleigh then turned to the young man. "You're wanted for questioning. Do no resist." Rayleigh warned as he gazed at the young man with his cold eyes.

Oh great...another U.W.A. recruitment...wait...did he say wanted for questioning. Aaron looked at Rayleigh and then at Miyuki, before pointing at Miyuki. "Ma'am...can you tell your friend there that I've already been asked to join the U.W.A way too many times this week...and that I said I'm not interested." he said, pulling out another breakfast sandwich from his pocket, as he shoved in his mouth. "Yeesh...all this attention as I just snag freakin' breakfast..." Aaron muffled as he chewed on the sandwich.

Don't take it lightly, bro. These two...and the TheaBrid in front of you are pretty tough... Axel said, as he watched the three in front of them, not even knowing that the wolf Thean was behind them.

Miyuki listened to Rayleigh inform her on the situation. So it did seem that he was the culprit of the documents. Something was off, after all, a mob wouldn't chase this young trouble maker for no reason. She was glad Rayleigh had come to escort her investigation. It would be no problem with him by her side. She gazed at the young man, who had been talking ot the girl. She watched Rayleigh, and noticed his eyes jolt to the side. Miyuki looked there and stifled a gasp. A Thean was there, but something was different. he was larger, and had more muscle. Something was off about him. She thought she radiated a cold aura, but he had one that made her want to hide.

Miyuki watched Rayleigh and when he decided to speak up, it was in his usual demanding tone. He ordered the boy to come with them quietly. Miyuki expected the boy to just come along, because Rayleigh has that intimidating aura about him. But the boy just shrugged it off.

"Ma'am...can you tell your friend there that I've already been asked to join the U.W.A way too many times this week...and that I said I'm not interested."

"I'm sorry, we do not want you to join, we want you to tell us everything. So how about you just do this the easy way and I won't have to make this hurt." She said, her voice as cold as ice. Her eyes seemed to put a chill in his soul.

Tharon was about to issue a challenge, call out the two TheaBrids in front of him to see if they would engage him in combat, he didn't like to take his foes by surprise after all, when suddenly a person who he knew well by reputation decided to put a stop to it all.  The immense wolf rolled his jade green eyes, and simply continued his approach.  He hadn't had a good fight for quite some time, and he had been hoping to get one.  A new idea came to mind, and he hoped it would work.

"Suppose it's a good thing I showed up then,"  he said aloud, and as he came into reach of the two TheaBrids down onto their shoulders came his hands.  Likely the first thing either Aaron or Grace would see of him were those meat-hook claws and snow white fur of his.  Maybe Sienna or Axel would recognize the pale wolf for who he was, Thean Warriors had a tendency to recognize the heroes and villains of legend, and maybe they wouldn't.  Really he didn't care, but he did know who he was dealing with.

"Name's Kane, and as it happens I work with the U.W.A.  So, you two gonna come quietly or are ya gonna make my day?"  As much as he wasn't expecting them to resist him, he sure was hoping for it.  A trained eye could likely easily recognize the hunger for battle in his eyes and his stance.  He wanted the two of them to resist, so that he could experience the thrill of the combat that would result from subduing them.

Grace's eyes were sharply fixed upon Aaron, having an inkling that the guy would try and bolt off again. With his hand jerked out of her grasp she took back her hand into her own hold as Aaron began to dispute his case. Frowning contemplatively Grace listened to him but served as his devil's advocate. "As unfortunate as that may be, not having cash is no excuse to resort to crime. I bet you haven't even considered asking someone for help, or seeing what the state can offer you in terms of benefits, huh?" Grace crossed her arms and frowned, quite cutely mind you, but her disappointment was clear on her face.

Ever the law-abiding citizen, with the announcement of Shin Rayleigh whom then confirmed his legitimacy of office brought Grace to a halt in her steps. She had no intention of going any further. She had performed her duty as a civilian, and any further force would be too dangerous by a normal person's standards. However things began to...heat up, really badly. Grace was more than happy to remain out of all this - she'd done nothing wrong other than bring attention to a thief - but soon the U.W.A. representative Miyuki spoke ice and dropped a hint of a threat of violence.

"Grace," Sienna quickly stated. "Get yourself out of this, now." Grace looked over her shoulder to her Thean Warrior Spirit. Grace was about to attempt to do this, but all of a sudden a large monstrocity of a claw placed itself upon her shoulder. Sienna growled at the sheer rudeness and audacity of the Thean. Her tribe knew not of his 'legend', nor in truth would care. He looked big, but she's seen bigger and more vicious - her priority was Grace's safety.

Grace picked up and removed Kane's hand from her shoulder and scowled to the Thean. "With all due respect, you have no right to lay a finger on my form unless there's some form of warrant for apprehending me, which..." With this Grace pointed to Shin and Miyuki "...the lack of their enforcement implies there is no such thing."

Grace moved away from the Thean as she scoffed "...such a brute." before glancing over to the two humans, putting forward her case: "I'm sorry I am involved in all this: a mob were pursuing the boy because he was a thief. I've attempted to put him in a citizen's arrest - however, I've been manhandled by this...'worker'...of your's..." With this pause she shot a cold glare at Tharon, clearly very unimpressed. "May I have his full name, so I can register a complaint?" Grace, ever one to play by the books.

As with most cases, the suspect played the usual tune: deny and resist, except, with this case, there was no denial of guilt; in fact, it would appear the suspect is completely ignorant of the severity of his crime - to be more accurate, alleged crimes. Or maybe he's just simply playing dumb and it would appear as though he is quite the capable actor. Regardless of the true nature of the situation, Rayleigh still needed to take the young man back to the U.W.A's headquarters for a session of interrogation; specifically, an interrogation with Miyuki for two reasons. One, Miyuki's interrogation tactics are infamous for achieving positive results and, two, Rayleigh wanted to be back at his desk again to continue the more important investigation.

Rayleigh had hoped the situation would go smoothly with his intervention but, unfortunately, the situation escalated further with the fault residing in the approach of the wolf Thean. As he placed his hand onto the young female's shoulder, he proclaimed himself to be a member of the U.W.A. Now because of Rayleigh's tendency of completely ignoring the non-human members at the organization, he couldn't outright say that the wolf Thean isn't a U.W.A member, but his approach to the situation only succeeding in drawing suspicion to his bold claim. And if that wasn't enough, the Thean's bloodthirsty gaze perpetuated Rayleigh's suspicion further. Before Rayleigh could address the hulking Thean, the young female individual voiced her thoughts about the Thean as well as the suspect's situation.

Her reveal of the suspect's petty crime helped both Rayleigh and Miyuki in their case. "Petty larceny as well? Another reason for you to be coming with us." Rayleigh told the suspect. He then turned his attention to the Thean individual. Despite Rayleigh's hatred of non-humans, he knows that he must remain calm and rational as to not make the situation worse. "You claim to be an agent of the U.W.A? If so, I must ask you for proper identification and security clearance number. A simple request from a superior officer, yes?" Rayleigh directed the Thean to produce proof of his role within the U.W.A. "If you'd like, Miyuki, here, could request several field agents to come here and authenticate your claims." Rayleigh added.

Wait...they aren't here to recruit me again? Aaron thought, as he heard Miyuki's response to him. Things now were getting a bit out of control...ESPECIALLY the fact that this other U.W.A member just pops out of nowhere! "Hey! Get off me!" he said quickly, moving back, as he eyed the Thean.

Aaron, don't get caught up with that Thean. He's nothing but bad news... Axel said, as he stared at the Thean, remembering stories about a wolf such as that one. Regardless...we need to know WHY your being harassed like this. So...lay on the charm Aaron...ask the girl! the lion had a bit of a smirk on his face about this.

Jee Axel...thanks a lot for the help. Aaron said, rolling his eyes as he shook his head, turning his attention to Miyuki. "Ma'am...I'd like to know what I've done to have the U.W.A go from recruiting me one minute...to trying to arrest me the next." It was strange even for Aaron. He and Axel got here not too long ago...and he hadn't truly done too many things to get a criminal record with...well...other than the larceny with the breakfast cart a few days in a couple weeks...but that was beside the point. Regardless, whatever the answer, he planned to escape...cause this was getting out of control...FAST.
Meanwhile....

The TRUE TheaBrid that the U.W.A was searching for, finally arrived at Atlas Station. The TheaBrid threw his hoodie's hood over top his head, as the slung his backpack on his bag, which contained the classified documents Rayleigh and Miyuki were looking for. Thanks to the Watcher...he was given time...now he just needed for 12:00 PM...noon...

He pulled out his cellphone, his lips twisting into a devilish smirk, as he spoke into it. "I have them. The Watcher played his part...the U.W.A are after some punk now. Everything shall happen as planned. At noon the exchange shall happen." With that, he hung up, as he broke his cellphone and tossed it into the trash, as he sat down in the crowded station.

Miyuki started to grow impatient with the group. She waited for them to calmly come with her. Weren't her and Rayleigh intimidating enough? Regardless, she was about to freeze the boy, quite litterally, when a Thean calling himself Kane emerged and layed his hands on the 2, stating he was a U.W.A memeber. Miyuki had never seen him, but she kept quite. Rayleugh didn't seem to trust him, but that was to be expected. Miyuki began to grow restless.

"Ma'am...I'd like to know what I've done to have the U.W.A go from recruiting me one minute...to trying to arrest me the next."

Her eyes narrows and the air dropped 10 degrees(no joke). "I have had enough of this stalling. Kid, I'm going to ask you one and ONLY one more time. Hands up and come with us quietly."

Her glacial knife was drawn and started radiating a blue aura, ready to turn Aaron into an ice sculpture. Either this kid is a really good actor or Watcher lied. She thought to herself. She then glanced to the other girl, the one that tried to put Aaron under citizens arrest.

"You have done your duty as a civilian. I would advise you leave this to the U.W.A. And I will be sure to put in your complaint ma'am. Have a good rest of your day." There was no tone, and her voice felt as cold as the air.

Thats 2 things taken care of, and speaking of complaints...who is this guy? She thought to herself, eyeing the Thean. She still coulden't put her finger on it, but the cold aura didn't seem to vanish. She wondered what he was really after. She wondered why he wasn't with the rest, working to track the culprit they had found.
