gmaster1991
2 Level 7 Normal monsters When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can add 1 Spell Card from your Deck to your Hand. Once per turn, during your End Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Set 1 Quick-Play Spell Card directly from your Deck. I got the card image from the internet somewhere and I don't know who the artist is... This card is an attempt to try to justify the use of Dark Magician or R. E. B. D. since they seriously lack support lately. Even though the requirements are more specific than most other Rank 7s, I still compared them to this one. Infernal Crimson Magician's effect is undoubtedly powerful, but it's balanced by the fact that it's Attack is lower than the mainstream Rank 7s (*cough* Draccosack *cough*) and it's Defense matches Shooting Star Dragon's Attack. This isn't support to Dark Magician or Red-Eyes. This is just something people would Dark Magician / Red-Eyes just to get onto the field. And no, just because its ATK is lower than something like Draccosack does not make it balanced. Especially when the card is a Spell Card search from the Deck upon Xyz Summon. It's not even hard to get out, if you use something like Red-Eyes (herp derp Hieratics are a thing), search for a Spell, detach for its effect, set Quick-Play Spell Card from your Deck (hurr durr Silver's Cry) and explode if you have not already. Card is broken, and you can't use its stats as a way to argue its balance when its a freaking 2x Spell tutor on the turn when its Summoned. It would just be a way to justify their use. Would it be more balanced if I took out the instant Spell Card on Xyz summon part?
Slinky
Oh really now? This card is an attempt to try to justify the use of Dark Magician or R. E. B. D. since they seriously lack support lately. >.> <.< It would be more balanced if you took out the Magic Search., but that instant quickplay set.. iunno. Setting a Book of Moon or Enemy Controller from your deck (or god forbig, Super Poly, as Zombies are a thing now due to Dragonecro) is too good. Sorry, I meant 'semi-competitive' support like Maiden With Eyes of Blue is for Blue-Eyes. I guess it is too overpowered then...
