Canadian
One of the 4 Staple Traps for a reason. I would much rather have this at 2 than 1 Warning and 1 BTH. Warning is a really stupid card. Plus, with the Traptrix Support coming, it could happen? Discuss.
玄魔の王
It's a really interesting contrast. This is free and can hit multiple monsters, but allows the summon to succeed and can be responded to. I'd have to agree with you - of the two, I'd say Warning is the worse for the game. Though since Konami wants to push Bujins, I doubt they'd unhit a Yamato answer.
Master Hyperion
1/2x Traptrix Myrmeleo 2x Bottomless Trap Hole 1x Void Trap Hole / Trap Hole sounds cool and also very possible to be semi-limited if they want to push the archtype
Dog King
Id consider Mirror Force a staple card :o but yeah this became srsly good with no prio and stuff, and yeah id rather have 2 of this than 1 bth and 1 warning which doesnt make much sense

goddamnit names are a pain
What are the 4 staple Traps? I obviously have no idea what I am doing. xD This is a card that really shouldn't go back to two. Sure, Solemn is bad for the game. That doesn't deny that this card is crappy with what it does. Shuts out plays far to easily, etc. to deserve being back at 2. If there were more cards out there that just laughed at this, then maybe.

newhat
I'm iffy on Solemn Warning. Both Traps get used as suck-my-dick buttons, but there are cool ways to screw up "protected" plays and Lumina-type swarms with Warning. Bottomless is less about punishing hubris and more about assurance. Not sure I like that.

When my opponent has a big monster and I can't run over it with my current cards, and allowing them free smacks at my Life Points would cost me the game. Manly decks do run traps, see: Alito's Battlin' Boxer deck, based on counter traps to help power up your attacks.

Then playing passively just puts you in a position where you canot stop them adding more pressure. You've already lost at that point.

Why? Because having your boss run over the opponent's boss, by way of battle, is how true gentlemen play Ygo.

evilfusion
I don't see the problem with battle-stopper Traps like D-Prison. How is it degenerate? I sort of see the mentality behind Summon stopping Traps, ESPECIALLY Warning, but Bottomless less so.
