So no offense, TC, but your overreacting just a little bit, over the fact someone commented on your work and stated that it isn't really anything original. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW Posted January 8, 2014 Report Share Posted January 8, 2014 First, before you read my post, just know that I'm not trying to hurt your feelings or otherwise make you feel bad about what you've done. You may have taken the picture, effects, Types, and so on and put them into the card yourself (especially since your forum name is at the bottom of the cards). But when the people above complained about you copying them, they were not trying to say that you took it from somebody else's cards. They were saying that the cards you made are in the actual Yugioh show. Now, taking a card that was in the show and never made into a card for the card game and making it into a balanced card is alright, but the issue here is that the other members expected for you to put your own touch on it; give them original effects and allow them to function differently than they did in the show. But instead, they are the same thing that they had been. So, just be creative and remake the cards your own way. You can make the Advanced Crystal Beasts, it's just frowned upon when you don't change anything about them. Plus, since most of them do the same thing as their original un-Advanced Crystal Beast counterparts as well as take their name and get destroyed if you don't have Advanced Dark out on the field, a lot of these are already outclassed by the original Crystal Beasts. Anyway, welcome to the forums. PS: You accidentally called the Advanced version of Emerald Tortoise "Advanced Crystal Beast Emerald Turtle." Zextra Posted January 8, 2014 Report Share Posted January 8, 2014 As A Background Character pointed out, leaving a card (even if it's anime-exclusive) completely unaltered - in terms of name, effect, picture, stats, and other details - is frowned upon. However, taking existing cards such as these Advanced Crystal Beasts, and remaking them - especially their effects - is fine, and even encouraged here in Pop Culture.
