[spoiler=Appearance]A meager 5' 3" in height, Zelnan hit his growth spurt rather late when compared to the others. He has fairly ragged clothing with tears and rips all over - coming from a poor background. He is also an amputee, missing his right arm from an accident in his childhood. His face is fairly young and smeared with dirt, while having a few scars around the face. Short dirty blonde hair with dirt coating drapes down covering his eyes in the front, shoulders at the side, and mid-shoulder blade at the back. His eyes are dull green with sleep-depraving bags under his eyes.

[spoiler=Biography]His family owned the local grain mill, along the farm that kept the village happy. Farming at this village was hard for them, especially since they didn't get much help. Zelnan's mother was bed-ridden, and couldn't bear any children after Zelnan, the "second" child. Zelnan would have an older sister, but disease took her from the family before she made it to 3. His father was grieved, but happy that Zelnan made it. When Zelnan was 5, he wanted to help his father at the mill; when Zelnan bumped into a shelf, miscellaneous items fell, hitting Zelnan in the head. Tripping over more of these items, his right arm got caught in the machinery, and tore his arm off. While his father tried to save him, he ended up tripping on more of these items, his head now getting caught in the machine. Scared of what happened, and scarred from his father's death, he tried to run to his mother for help. He barely made it to the door before passing from exhaustion. When he awoke, his arm was bandaged, and his mother lied next to him with no more breath.
 
After years went by, now homeless at the age 13, and retreated from the farm - taken over by a new family - he now hangs around a library, next to the tavern. While he accepts coins every now and then, he tries to venture inside the library. Inside, he tries to learn about different things, like the world. He never was admitted into school since he was needed to take care of farm (or was supposed to) and was now homeless. As his only alternative, he took learning from books he could barely read. He would be seen with many books around him: dictionaries, encyclopedias, magic books, mathematical books, science books, etc., and even the occasional comic/manga. Eventually, he took it to learn mostly magic, after giving himself a basic understanding of the English language (at his standard age), learning about different spells. He was able to learn more about machinery as well, and would often venture outside when the library would close, and see how technology worked. He wasn't sure how he was able to learn about the technology by touching it. He would only need to think about it, and how it worked, and the nanites would work in his favor. He would get tired a lot by doing this, but enjoyed it. More importantly, he learned about how to manipulate the nanites, into creating an artificial limb. This limb, as he called it "Magicarm," was an arm similar to his left arm, but more aetherial, more misty. It was tiring to conjure it up, but it was only for a few days. At age 15, he was able to fully use his Magicarm as a normal arm with little effort, and could easily learn about machinery, often breaking into the library after hours to learn about the world.

[spoiler=Personality]Living on the streets for most of his life, Zelnan has a problem interacting with people, and doesn't understand social norms and expressions; he's just borderline socially awkward. He also has some trust issues that he can't disperse, and tries to keep a lot of things secret, and will occasionally lie about some things. He also doesn't particularly care about other people, but he'll have some sympathy, despite having such a hard life.

[spoiler=Abilities Information]

• Magicarm - An mist like substance that takes the form of an arm similar to his left arm, while being able to interact as if it were physical. He manipulates the nanites around him to create this arm. He can manipulate these nanites to go through items and to become nearly impenetrable, but it takes a lot of concentration and stamina. Under normal use, he may experience a cold shiver and will sneeze sometimes.
• Technomancy - Zelnan uses the nanites around a piece of machinery to either: get a better understanding on how it works, or to take control of it. While not as depleting as manipulating it, understanding it can still take a fair amount of energy on him, and usually gets tired after it, and coughs horrendously. Gaining control of it takes a lot more energy, and usually makes him vomit and reduce body temperature after a few minutes of this ability.
