I'm high on Crystal Beast Support - - - - Crystal Beasts {Prime-Ace John}

Once per turn you can target 1 "Crystal Beast" in your Continuous Spell Card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone and equip it to this card. This card gains the effect(s) and the ATK of the "Crystal Beast" equipped to this card. If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy the equipped card instead. You can only equip 1 "Crystal Beast" to this card at a time.

Once per turn, you can discard 1 card from your hand and target 1 "Crystal Beast" in your Graveyard: Place that target face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. This card gains 100 ATK for each other "Crystal Beast" monster on the field. Once per turn, you can destroy 2 "Crystal Beast" Continuous Spell Cards you control: Destroy 1 card on the field.

You can destroy 1 "Crystal Beast" Continuous Spell Card you control: Special Summon this card. Once per turn, you can discard 1 card then target 1 "Crystal Beast" Continuous Spell Card you control except and Special Summon it. Any monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot attack your opponent directly. If this card is destroyed, (by battle or by card effect), you can target 1 "Crystal Beast" monster in your Graveyard and place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. You can only control 1 face-up "Crystal Sorceress".

[Beast / Xyz / Effect] 

 

You can also Xyz Summon this card by using 2 or more (max. 5) "Crystal Beast" Spell Cards as Xyz Materials. This card gains 500 ATK for each "Crystal Beast" Spell Card you control. Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to activate 1 of the following effects:
• Target 1 card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone and 1 card on the field: Destroy both targets.
• Place 1 "Crystal Beast" monster in your Deck or Graveyard face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. 
When this card is destroyed by an Opponent's Card: (by Battle or Card Effect), you can Target 1 "Crystal Beast" Spell Card you control: Special Summon that target. You can only control 1 face-up "Crystal Beast Rainbow Lion King".

Ok so i sort of feel like the first and third effect monsters are cool but they just wouldn't have a place in a crystal beast deck. 

 

The first card: Crystal beasts are not really remarkable when it comes to ATK and their effects are good. But i would rather run more copies of crystal beasts than run this card. Also i wouldn't want to sac a continuous spell just to keep him alive when i could use something like crystal beacon.

 

The second card: Hes good because he can recycle crystal beasts with his own effect. 

 

The Third Card: I would rather just run more crystal beasts than her again because i can just use crystal promise to summon.

 

This is just my opinion. I still like the cards.

Yeah, I can see how running the Spell Cards instead would be a better option.

 

The point for Scrivener, was that he could continuously use the effects of Crystal Beast and make it a little harder to destroy so it could just keep recycling its own effect.

 

Sorceress, could use some more power to it considering Beacon.

Imo, the first card is unneeded, as it makes your dead hands deader, and it's not searchable bar with monk too. For only a beater, it's not worth the investment.

 

Leo is outclassed by Blessing, and it doesn't even have the effect to put itself to the backrow when it dies. And the two-for-one destruction effect really hurts you, as you'll need the two destroyed cards for you to be able to start swarming and create a field presence, not to mention turning Beacon off, and making the field less potent. Rare Value is a better investment for the backrow CBs, and even that is not used often these days.

 

And Sorcerer also eats up your resources way too much, while not being a CB herself. Also, note that there's only 1 good CB monster ever printed, 1 decent one, while the rest ranged from meh to horrible. For most of these to be usable in the current CB deck (that relied on Xyz spamming and Abundance to win), you must be able to set the backrow fast enough, that or ensure that their targets are as good as Pegasus.

 

Speaking of Pegasus, the deck still won't function without opening it, especially with these cards' reliance on backrow. That might also need to be adressed. Though, at least these cards make running Blessing @3 realistic and good.
