At damage calculation: You can discard this card, then shuffle 1 "Varia-Skill Summoner" monster with a different name from your hand or graveyard into the deck; you take no battle damage from that battle (this is a Quick Effect). When an opponent's effect that would inflict effect damage to you when it resolves is activated: you can discard this card, then shuffle 1 "Varia-Skill Summoner" monster with a different name from your hand or graveyard into the deck; you take no damage from that effect. During the Standby Phase, if you negated damage with this card's effect since the last Standby Phase: you can special summon 1 monster from your deck whose ATK is less then or equal to the damage you would have taken. You can only use 1 "Varia-Skill Summoner Absorber Angel" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

 

 

If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Normal Summon/Set this card without Tributing. If this card is normal summoned: you can shuffle 1 "Varia-Skill Summoner" monster with a different name from your hand or graveyard into the deck to target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; excavate cards from the top of your deck until you excavate 2 monsters with the same level as that target's level/rank, special summon 1 of the excavated monsters that has the same level as that target's level/rank, also shuffle the remaining cards into the deck.

 

* for those who don't know, "excavate" is a keyword from the newest set. Its in the newest rulebook if you want more info.

 

 

If your opponent special summons a monster: you can discard this card, then shuffle 1 "Varia-Skill Summoner" monster with a different name from your hand or graveyard into the deck; special summon 1 level 4 or lower monster from your hand or graveyard. You can only use the effect of "Varia-Skill Summoner Formless Sprite" once per turn.

 

 

During the End Phase, if this card was shuffled from your graveyard into the deck this turn to activate a "Varia-Skill Summoner" monster's effect this turn: you can draw 1 card. You can only use the effect of "Varia-Skill Summoner Apprentice" once per turn.
