If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.

Seems underpowered to me. Needs 3 levels 5, and it just gains ATK and protects itself from destruction. I think you need to add (except during the Damage Step), unless you want it to be able to use it's effect during the damage step. In that case, you would need to change the effect, because as it's currently worded, it can't use it in the Damage Step.

 

I mean, there's no reason to go for this when Tiras, Number 12, and Shark Fortress exist.

 

Basically, it would be fine if only need 2 monsters instead of 3.

 

But that's just my opinion, so it doens't really mean much.
