gmaster1991
Venom Mamba (When this card is Normal Summoned, you can send 1 Reptile-type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard to place 1 Venom Counter on 1 monster your opponent controls. You cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this effect.) I got the idea for this card due to the fact that the Venom archetype didn't get any additional support for over six years! This card is meant to be something that sets up your Graveyard during early game. The Special Summon clause was placed so it wouldn't completely outclass "Venom Serpent". gmaster1991
Out of curiosity, though, why would you not want to do that? When I made this card, I put the theme of low attack strength and weakening opposing monsters in mind like the rest of the Venom archetype. Venom Mamba would be considered the 'beatstick' of the archetype, but 1600 isn't that strong on its own. It's effect only lets it place 1 Venom Counter when summoned, but it does so immediately instead of the End Phase, so with Venom Swamp, this card can take down the 1900 mainstreams. It also sends a Reptile to your Graveyard to set up the boss monster of this archetype. If this card didn't have the Special Summon clause, then nobody would use Venom Serpent because of its lower attack strength. Venom Mamba promotes the idea of a simple, but effective tactic while Venom Serpent allows greater flexibility like summoning Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes by activating Damage = Reptile and suiciding Venom Serpent after weakening a monster and then finishing them off with Vennominon. razzy
It seems decent and I understand what you are trying to add to the archetype. However I suggest you look over PSCT. It is somewhat hard difficult to tell if you place the venom counter on the opt even if you don't send a monster to grave or even the other way around. Other than that is is pretty solid and sure to help speed up the archetype.

Since the text says 'send 1 Reptile-type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard to place 1 Venom Counter on 1 monster your opponent controls. That means that it's a cost effect. This means that cards such as Dimensional Fissure and Macro Cosmos prevents the use of this effect at all as the costs cannot be paid under those circumstances.
