Maeriberii Haan
LV Block Counter Trap Card Activate only when you control a face-up LV monster. Negate the activation of a monster effect and destroy it. LV Territory Field Spell Card During each of your standby phase, you can discard 1 card then tribute 1 LV monster you control to special summon 1 LV monster from your deck with 2 level higher and the same type and attribute, ignoring any summoning conditions. When an LV monster battles a monster, increase its ATK by its Level x 200. LV Gift Spell Card Shuffle 1 level 7 or Higher LV monster from your hand to your deck. Draw 2 cards. The effect of “LV Gift” can only be used once per turn. EvoLVing Force Spell Card Add 1 “LV” Spell or Trap Card from your deck to your hand. You cannot summon any monster this turn, except for LV monsters. You can only activate 1 "EvoLVing Force" per turn. LV Override Continuous Spell Card When this card is face up on the field, you can overlay 2 LV monsters with the same level to special summon 1 LV monster from your deck with a higher LV (max 4) and the same type and attribute as one of the overlay material (The LV monster summoned is treated as an Xyz monster) ignoring any summoning condition. Once per either player’s turn, the LV monster summoned by this card can detach 1 of its overlay material to activate one of its effects, ignoring any other costs and conditions. DevoLVe Blast Spell Card Send 1 LV monster you control to the graveyard then destroy 2 cards on the field. If you have a LV monster in your graveyard with 2 levels lower than the sent monster and have the same type and attribute, Special Summon it during the End Phase, ignoring any summoning condition. Just a fun idea that I have after Maxxion made his status about making LV support. Remaking some of the Xyz support cards to support LVs, and add some more. So, CnC? Trebuchet MS
If you want them to be searchable by your Field Spell, might want to change all instances of "LV" in their names to "Level". Because... ...add 1 "Level" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand, except "Level Playing Field". The other option is to edit the Field so that it interacts only with "LV" cards, but then it won't be able to touch the existing LV S/Ts. Words hastily eaten because that LV Field Spell is by someone else.
Maeriberii Haan
So, is there anything that's problematic here?
Trebuchet MS
Then, let me work through this by lore tweaks. Lets me thoroughly read through the entire text without skimming and missing any important details.
Activate only When a monster effect is activated while you control a face-up "LV" monster: Negate the activation, of a monster effect and if you do, destroy it.
Quite powerful since it helps you protect your lower LV monsters while they're trying to level up. I can see this get particularly problematic if used with Horus LV8, as it will create a lock akin to Heraklinos + War Chariot.
During each of your Standby Phase: You can discard 1 card then Tribute 1 "LV" monster you control; to Special Summon from your Deck, 1 "LV" monster from your deck with 2 level higher and that has the same Type and Attribute, but 2 Levels higher, ignoring any summoning conditions. When an LV monster battles a monster, increase it gains ATK by equal to its Level x 200 during damage calculation only.
First things first, Silent Magician can't benefit from this, and you won't be able to Level Up Armed Dragon from LV7 to LV10. So far, no two sets of LV monsters share the same Attribute, Type, and Level progression, but it might help if you edit the effect to be similar to that in Level Up! The ability to level up repeatedly due to the lack of an OPT clause worries me, though. Also, I've added "during damage calculation only" to the ATK boosting effect because otherwise it'd be problematically permanent.
Shuffle 1 level 7 or higher "LV" monster from your hand to your deck. Draw 2 cards. The effect of “LV Gift” can only be used once per turn.
Reminds me of Assault Teleport, albeit with an activation restriction. No major qualms about this - perhaps this is to avoid abuse with Diamond Dude?
Add 1 "LV" Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You cannot Summon any monsters this turn, except for "LV" monsters. You can only activate 1 "EvoLVing Force" per turn.
Slightly disappointed that this can't tutor Level Up!, but then again, it can tutor LV Block...
When this card is face up on the field, You can overlay target 2 "LV" monsters you control with the same Level: to Special Summon from your Deck, 1 "LV" monster from your deck with a higher LV (max 4) and that has the same Type and Attribute as one of those targets, but up to 4 Levels higher, ignoring the Summoning conditions, and attach those targets to the Summoned monster as Xyz Material. the overlay material (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. The LV monster Summoned monster is treated as an Xyz monster.) ignoring any summoning condition. Monsters Summoned this way gain this effect: *Once per turn, during either player’s turn: the LV monster summoned by this card You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; of its overlay material to activate one of its effects, ignoring any other costs and conditions.
Turning Main Deck monsters into Xyz Monsters can be problematic due to Level/Rank confusion, but there's also the slight issue of what the Xyz Summoned monster can gain from this. A lot of top-end LV monsters have continuous effects or effects that trigger without any problematic cost or condition, and if you're going to bring out a mid-range LV monster just to level it up without jumping through its hoops, you're better off just going straight to the top-end one. (with a few exceptions, like Allure Queen and Dark Lucius)
Send 1 "LV" monster you control to the Graveyard to target then destroy 2 cards on the field; destroy those targets. During the End Phase of the turn you activated this card: You can target 1 If you have a "LV" monster in your Graveyard with 2 levels lower than the sent monster and have that has the same Type and Attribute as the monster sent to the Graveyard for this card's activation, but 2 Levels lower; Special Summon that target it during the End Phase, ignoring the summoning conditions.
Not much of an issue other than difficulty putting this into PSCT wording. Maeriberii Haan
What if LV Block only lives if there's a Level 6 or higher LV monster? Considering to reword most of the level up/down cards with something akin to ''With a name that was written in the selected/tributed/sent monster's effect'', though, really unsure about its correct OCG. Hmm, I think I'll remake Override to give more support of running different LVs line in a deck. Thanks for the review and fixes!
Trebuchet MS
Fortunately, Level Up got reprinted in PSCT, so you can cross-reference its new lore.
